OK, I was trying to make a scenario w/ the Hydran IC (and lots of friends) in the scenario to destroy the Lyran Firewall base during the General War

(because hey the IC is just begging for a scenario to be used in...)

Then I realized w/ 60+ Hydran fighters verses Lyrans at a base (with Minefield packages), that the whole situation is going to boil down the Coalition sitting inside the minefield waiting to pounce on the Hydrans when they try to breach the perimeter (or they'll just send the fighters in waves to be minesweepers).

Is the battle just too gigantic for SFB?

Where is the Tug or LTT which is performing the base upgrade? :-)

Also, it looks like the Hydrans are still short two ships against their command limits. Something like a TR+ with Hellbores to snipe at something with a down shield.

Yes, I'm thinking in F&E terms. So for me the battle should be bigger yet.

Just how many 1600+BPV battles do you think get played? 2 more ships per side will push it towards 1800+ BPV

I know you are joking though.

The Hydran Apache is the TR CWL (so some ship-based HBs are included), besides the plethora of fighter-based 12+)

Might work better in FC once we get the rules for Hydrans and Lyrans. Just ebcause of the scale.

Scott, it's not too big for some groups. But you definately want a smaller option for a "smaller and faster scenario", common in most cases. The Sentinel group could be replaced witha scout, and a lot of the other ships deleted.

I really hope every big SFB scenario does go the way of "oh, just make it FC". Not all of us are playing Fed Commander.
