Another idea that struck me tonight. A module for drones that is similar in construction (and limitation) to a multi-warhead module except that the module holds a number of warp accelerated bombs that burst out just before the drone strikes the target (set off by a proximity fuse).
Proximity-fused Cluster Bomb Module.
The effect is that the warhead still does 12 damage like a normal drone but is divided among the facing shield and the two adjacent shields; 4 points each.
Handle the hit just like any other drone hit except it hit three shields.

If they're warp-accelerated, you could also set it to trigger like an Implosion Torpedo (Omega- Trobrin) from one hex away. Perhaps for half damage?

1. why would you want to spread damage over three shields?
2. You seem to be building the one with the ADDs which don't do much damage.

SVC: For the same reasons it is useful for plasmas and PPD's. sometimes an opponant bricks and you would score real damage on the other shields. Or a non-facing shield is down and you would score internals.
You might be interested in taking down a number of shields on a target to restrict maneuverability.
The ordinance would be something else than anything exsisting. As the drone strikes the target (which isn't truely a direct strike but a very close blast, right? The drone frame doesn't actually hit the ship but explodes perhaps a few hundred meters away?) it spreads out like a cluster bomb.
I wanted to just use normal ordinance modules but that would be a three space unit. If this were an X-Drone only unit then I'd be for that. Then you would have 6 points on each of three shields.
