For some reason on my newish laptop I can not save games. Everything else works fine but when I go to save the dialogue box does not open up at all.
I "think" this happened before and I reinstalled the client and it fixed it. I think but I am unsure.

I have loaded the client from the link and then did an update. I tried to start a new tournament game but could not see my opponents SSD or weapon status. I think I am completely hosed and unable to play at all right now.

I am not alone - Eric the Silent has the same problem. We both loaded the current version of the client from the download page and then updated it from within the client. Neither of us can see the other guys ssd or weapon status. I can see his ship on the map but that is it. We are unable to play at all at the moment over this so if you are reading this I suggest holding off on loading up the new version until this is resolved.

I noticed in the new client something has happened to the resolution (I think) of the map itself. It's like the outline of each hex is somehow off.
