As we know, the Peladine were cut short before their time - spending only thirty years exploring other star systems (twenty of those in the Y-era, with only nine of those seeing them use true warships) before sufferign the wrath of the Far Stars Duchy.

Indeed, the invasion came at the very cusp of a burst of colonisation - an effort which was left too late to matter.


But what if one colony fleet was launched in Y130, before the Lyrans arrived in-system to conquer the homeworld?

According to the MSC on Jessica's site, the YIS of the Peladine Tug is Y130 - and there were CAs, CLs, DDs, FFs and POLs in production since Y121.

Perhaps that tug (with one cargo and one transport pod attached) was launched in, say, March Y130, along with a squadron of Peladine starships - heading 'west' deeper into Delta. However, by the time the fleet reach the target system, they learn of the conquest of the homeworld, and that they would not be safe if they settled in the original system (since the Lyrans would continue their expansion outwards).

So, the fleet gathers as much resources from the system that they can, and sets out for unknown territory, on a lonely quest - for a shining planet, known as Ear... oh wait.


If the far side of Delta (away from the Far Stars and Lost Colonies) is ever opened up - or, indeed, is Sargasso - the exiles could be featured as a holdout race, unknown to the Alpha races until after Operation Unity.


And perhaps they had hit upon a long-term plan to build up their strength and try to liberate their homeworld - perhaps the weakened state of the Empire post-Andro War could be the time to strike?

Got some Peladine mini's sitting on the desk right now. After I finish cleaning up the disgrace that is my Fed fleet, I'm going to get to work on them.
