This is most likely an obvious idea, but one which might make late-era Jumokians a little more interesting...

Jumokian New Heavy Cruiser (NCA)

As the surviving Jumokian asteroid yards gradually switched their production over to the New Destroyer design in the decades post-Y133, and the larger pre-existing ship classes were lost due to attrition against the Andromedans, the need arose for a new type of heavy unit to fill the gap left by the dwindling stocks of Light Cruisers available.

Following on the example left by the older ship types, the Jumokians experimented with the fusing of two NDD hulls together, to produce a 'new' Heavy Cruiser design. (While whis ship would be the first such hull type built by the Jumokians, it was listed as an NCA in deference to its conneciton to the NDD.)

The first such ship was fielded in Y170, at an isolated base located deep in the Fringe. In the dark years of Andromedan dominance, the scant resources available to the surviving Resistance cells kept this class from entering more widespread use.

However, the ebb of Andromedan activity from the mid-Y190s left a significant breathing space for the cells to gather their resources, and some of the most prominent cells began to construct more NCAs to serve their purposes.

The vindication of this policy came in Y202, as the forces of Operation Unity decisively turned the tide on the Andromedans. It was no coincidence that the class possessed flag command facilities from the outset, as the Jumokians had always planned for the ultimate long-term use of this ship type, for which the enervated state of the Eneen exiles had offered to the Jumokians on a platter - as the flagship for a fleet tasked with the attempt to finally liberate Jumok itself.

Here's a v1 of how the ship might look on the SSD - note that the MC is 1, the turn mode is C, and the CR is 8.

I had a look over the last version, and it's not quite right. (Not least with the warp power and number of BANKs.)

So, I tried to take a leaf out of the CL's book, and came up with a version 2.

Hopefully a little better...

On the ship history-- I was under teh impression that the Andromedans had essentially exterminated most planetary populations that had fallen into their hands, so would Jumok exist to be liberated?

That may be a fair point; even if Jumok managed to recover from the devastation laid upon it by the Eneen, there's no guarantee that the place would have survived any subsequent (mis)treatment by the Andromedans.

(Although I had read that line to refer more to the subject species which themselves had once been under Jumokian influence, like the Cojopians.)

But in any case, in light of the recently-posted NFF and NCL proposal (where I came to the notion that allowing the "new" hulls to be combined might not be the best idea, after all), I would like to withdraw this class from consideration; if it hasn't been written off already.

Though of course, it's not my call to say which idea might work out better (or, indeed, if either of them would work at all); but, for what it's worth, my personal preference at this point would be for any "new" series of Jumokian ships to be designed as single-hull vessels from the keel up, as the NDD itself was.
