I looked at creating a WYN version of the Free Trader (R1.9), and I am afraid that ultimately I had to regard it as "overcome by events."
The problem is that the Prime Corvette (R1.85) was published in Module R11, and its ship description notes that the WYNs used Prime Corvettes. A Prime Corvette is already so overgunned and powered compared to a base-line Free Trader that there is no really any place left to go for further modification of the hull without getting absolutely ridiculous.
That left the option of "Year in Service," that is to say that WYNized Free Traders appeared before Prime Corvettes, but Prime Corvettes went into service about the time the Orions contacted the WYN. So any Free Trader that showed up in WYN space would likely have been upgraded to a Prime Corvette, and I just do not see any place to go with the concept from there.
Similar problem with a "WYN Carrier Version of the Free Trader." I just cannot see it looking much different than the Free Escort Carrier (R1.84) which was also published in Module R11. At least not enough to be worth doing. Am I wrong?

Why don't you make a WYN "stretched" version that's 2x as long. Use a Aux Bar midship as the joint re-inforcer and a 3rd engine. That should give you the room to make your factory unauthorized changes.

That's not factory unauthorized changes. That's a new ship.
That said, a Long Trader might be interesting but nobody would want to pay for a bigger target.

About four years ago, I made the following mods to the FT and APT:
Maximized Free Trader

Some... Fifteen?... Years ago, Robert Cole graciously posted an enlarged FT design I'd cooked up; the Liberty Trader.
I've lost my copies, but it did (kind of) fit what it looks like you might be talking about, at least in terms of the "Freighter" version of it.
I never did any "Military Auxiliary" version of it.

Maybe the WYN welded a skid flat om the top and a ducktail between the engines. They don't have to follow the rules to defend their hex.
