Loren, Yes the Tholians, Seltorians and Andromedans are all in the "Shield Galaxy".
Making everyones lives much more interesting
Incidentally the Tholians are based on the Neo (almost exclusively) and don't have Disruptors.

Right now my priorities for playtesting are the Magellanic Cloud, then the Vudar, then maybe the shield galaxy. But I am not willing to expend resources for something that MIGHT be printed down the road versus things that are in the pipeline RIGHT NOW.
Sorry Ken.

Yep, I found that out a while back after making various entries. I thought that the name came to easily. But I couldn't locate where I might have heard/read it. Then I stumbled across the Cygnan early years ships in CL.
So I renamed them as the Sritan.

It's been a few months. Here's an update on what's been done, since I've been getting a number of questions online.
Do not ask for playtest material. Until SPP gets the time none of it can be released. I will call for playtest as soon as I can, but it aint happening yet.
Ventu Completed and Off SPP's desk.
Lorkesh currently sitting on SPP's desk
Re-reviewed by me and Annexed:
Myrmidon
Swarm
Xonos
I carefully looked over all the material after a few months and found any number of mistakes, corrections. And consolidated the material into a single racial file instead of having it scattered around my hardrive. So hopefully they will clear through faster, once SPP gets the time. I've also started building all the annexes that will be needed.
Pending races:
Hyperian
Sritan
Principality Alliance (PA)
Some technical background questions for SVC and SPP. But they will wait ubtil G2 is finished.
Most races have 6-8 completed SSDs of different classes. The PA only have 3 since they are a minor race. I've only done a handfull since I want to get the base classes/rules approved first.

Different product, different galaxy, different designer.
Triangulum was printed for playtest as E2; Shield was not.

Yeah The working title "Shield Galaxy" is because most of the races haven't slightly different takes on how shields work. It is not connected with any other project at this time.
No real development has been pushed on this project simply because since April of last year I'm lucky if I get 20hrs of sleep during my entire work week. Most weeks its more likely 14-16. (Last week I got about 7 before Thursday and my week starts Sun at 5PM.) So by the time the weekend rolls around I simply don't have the energy left to write even remotely creatively. Mostly all I want to do is try to grab some sleep.
Hopefully I'll get the new job I've applied for. Better hours/pay and I will actually get to have time with my family, instead of the 2hrs a day split between morning and afternoon.
For a quickie background: The SG simply wouldn't work with The LMC. Cruisers are very common and DNs aren't unknown. But only the Neo Tholian NBB exists as a one of a kind Battleship. I'm sure the Steves could work out something for where it is. Frankly I was going to place it in Andromeda because the Andro's will come along and wreak all sorts of havoc basically exterminating the SG races.
Believe me I've spent a ton of time working out ways for the A. to win logically without any sorts of handwavium. The 2 Nasty races that everyone is balanced against are if not useless against Andro's, they are highly compromised. The other races have their own built in checks and balances. Letting Andro's win but not making it a complete walk over.
One weapon is accurate at semi medium-long ranges, but its firepower has degraded by that point. It does more damage at closer ranges but is less accurate. (Believe me the rationale for the weapon hangs together.) Making it a matter of trade offs for more accuracy lesser damage etc. Essentially all the weapons have some sort of trade offs involved with them.

At SPP's request I have spent the past 24+hrs (other than naps and errands), getting all of the Shield Galaxy rules together.
I'm still missing a couple of things from my computer switch. Hopefully I won't have to rewrite an entire rule section from the ground up.
What I have been doing is getting a heavy bit of editing done. Hopefully the work I put in this weekend will help smooth out future problems.
Whats missing:
The time line is essentially gone with the wind. Large chunks of racial backgrounds are incomplete. And my drone rules have up and vanished along with a couple of vital SSD's from my hard drive.
Hopefully I'll be able to either find a fragment of the missing material or submit what I can with a bunch of work tonight/tomorrow.
So far I've resurrected 1 SSD from the dead along with partial backgrounds.

SPP,
Actually it is to late. I KNOW a good bit of the background and all of my fleshed out timeline are MIA.
I've gone through every single word (type) doc on both my new and old PC. The material is long gone. I Think that somehow when I was transferring files at least some of the material got overwritten. Because I have a number of file names and material that don't fully match up.
