since i am not sure where i should really put this i thought here would be a good place.
i am wondering why the hydrans use tugs with an "internal pallet" when so many other races do not? fed, klingons, kizin, lyran, romulan, and even the orions use tugs that move 2 pods/pallets. i can understand limiting the hellbore combat pallets that can be carried but why the internal pallet?
any possibility of a conjectural design that is more equivlent to other tugs/ltts?

Is there any need other than aesthetic objections? The Hydrans are known for some frankly stupid designs, so the Caravan is by no means out of character.

what stupid designs?
my objection is not that the caravan exhists, but rather that they never built or designed a tug or ltt that is more on par with other races.
for the most part the hydrans have some very awesome ship designs.

Uh, say the Horse & Trailer. Those have to be two of the crappiest designs in all of SFB. They are supposed to be war cruisers, but they barely qualify to be light cruisers.
