Hi, once more!

After going over the Eneen and Baduvai, I wanted to then turn to the matter of what kind of role the Jumokians may play in a post-Unity Magellanic Cloud.

Before I begin, I propose that in the aftermath of Operation Unity, the Jumokians (be it due to the weakened status of the Eneen, a stipulation of a treaty signed in the Exile years, or a combination of both) use their remaining ships and asteroid bases to re-establish a Jumokian League, both at Jumok and within neighbouring systems, at the same time that the Baduvai and Eneen are trying to re-claim their own home space.

Even if the Eneen wanted to, they would hardly be in much of a position to stop the Jumokians from doing so, while the Baduvai would not be overly bothered at seeing a renewed League serve as a roadblock between the Imperium and the Protectorates - and the Maghadim would be too busy launching everything they had into the Core, in an effort to flush the Andromedans out of their home space.

If this idea was acceptable, the matter would then turn to what kind of fleet assets the Jumokians would have to build up - being that they would now be faced with neighbours possessing different kinds of attrition units (the Maghadim with carriers, the Baduvai with PFs, and the Eneen with their own fighters) and also in a position where they would have to try and eradicate Andromedan garrisons within their (re)newly-claimed space.

So, I was thinking that they could handle this in a few ways:

*Follow the lead of the Eneen, in purchasing fighter tech from the Maghadim, and develop both their own fighters, as well as carrier pods for their ships (akin to the fighter pods used by the Iridani).

*Also, perhaps they might consider going with a PF module, again akin to that developed by the Iridani - and which could fly purchased boats from the Imperium (even workboats, if the Baduvai refuse to sell PFs) - and in this case, perhaps the Jmokians could work on their own retrofitting of purchased workboats to create their own models.

*With these modules, the Jumokians could use an NDD to serve as either a light carrier or PFT - and if the New Heavy Cruiser idea in another thread was accepted, use the larger hull to create either a heavier carrier, tender or BCS.

(In order to keep the numbers to a reasonable level, perhaps the modules would only have room to handle a small amount of fighters or PFs themselves - maybe 2-3 PFs or 4-6 fighters per module.)

The result would be a somewhat awkward fit - not quite as smoothly-operated as the options available to those races operating with only fighters or only PFs - but somewhat in-character for the utilitarian Jumokians.

Separate of this thread, I've been thinking about Jumokian fighters and carriers.

As of late, I've imagined a "Fighter Support Pack" with four Shuttles, two Hull, and one Tractor beam. In order to keep it from being too powerful (and having every Pinnace in a convoy hauling them), I've also imagined that it is unable to provide the energy needed by every current Magellanic fighter (i.e.: rearming Eneen Plasma-E Torpedoes and energizing Maghadim Mass Drivers).

This is also to facilitate a new, Jumokian fighter idea.

Stats for this proposed fighter are...

Speed: 15+4 (I'm proposing that it's based on a captured PAS
Phaser: 1xEL-FA, 1xLL-360
Missiles: --
Damage: 10
Special: --
DFR: 0

A Frigate could (using one Pack) haul four of these into a fight, larger ships could carry a squadron of eight.

While it seems not unreasonable to me, as screwball as I am, are there things I've missed?
