I designed these ships years ago as a project "for grins", and decided to post them as kind of a Christmas present to my buddies in the SFB community....

Looks nice. BPV looks a little low IMO. W/O actually doing a side by side comparison The Fed DN+ points at 207 compared to 195 for yours.

Somehow i think yours is tougher over all.

I picked the DN+ as the comparison for the Photon power matching the mega Photons.

Ken, you maybe right. The unrefitted ship has the direct firepower of the DN+, and its better phaser arcs/turn mode, but the shields of an unrefitted DN, and power that's sort of in between.

The other target I had in mind: The fully refitted DNDW (195+25+8+25+8 = 161) in the ballpark of a Fed DNH (164). I think its fair to bump the base hull up a few points...it will all still sort of work out.

Any other thoughts. Ultimately, these are all about fun. They are intentionally nasty / borderline munchkin, but then this is the world of Mirror, Mirror. Please view with tongue in cheek...

One more (big one) for New Year's Day...

Earth Empire Heavy Carrier

Had a blast with this one. The fully refitted ship is fairly similar to an improved CVA I posted years ago. Depending on how the ship is refitted, it can be an absolute monster.

I've also included a couple of homespun fighters: the F-106 (an interceptor intended for CAP work as part of the "F" refit) and the A-12 (an improved photon fighter clearly way too over the top for "normal" SFB). I used F-15Ms instead of F-14Ms for the superiority group, just to be different. Finally, there is a "Captain's Refit" unique to this class that uses the option boxes and existing tractors to convert the ship to a SCS using F-111Ms.

It occured to me that perhaps these Mirror Feds don't use gatling-equipped escorts, but instead use the standard hulls with the "F" refit installed as carrier escorts. Gatlings would be reserved for carrier close-in defenses only, so lesser carriers than the CVA might include them as well, but the escorts would not. The escorts would also not include the any extra storage / cargo of "normal" Fed escorts and would only carry limited stores associated with the "F" refit. The end result would be more offensively oriented escort groups, and a greater reliance on fighters for seeking weapon defense of the carrier group. Again, different just for grins.

I also increased the BPV on the DN SSD.
