Hi.
These might seem to be fairly obvious variants to consider. However, I wanted to raise the topic now, so that the ship types might be considered in time for inclusion in ISC War, alongside the NAX.
Essentially, the first two units - an advanced technology system destroyer (NDX) and frigate (NFX) would follow the a similar conversion process as the NAX before it.
As with the NAX, it may be that one or more advanced technology destroyers or frigates were trapped in a given cantonment, and were selected for upgrades (as was done with the CLX Novablast). Or, they could be ships which had already been converted to NDDs and NFFs, then given further conversions to advanced technology (as, apparently, with the CLs Novaflash and Plasmasword).
In either case, the resultant ships would be able to form echelons with NAXs in defence of their given cantonments, at least long enough for the home government to successfully negotiate their return to ISC space.
The third unit is pretty self-explanatory - an NAX-esque conversion of the New Strike Cruiser.
Rather than the plasma firepower of the NAX main hull, the NSX would bring its long-range PPDs to the battle - allowing it to sit in the centre of a cantonment's impromptu advanced technology echelon.
The fourth unit is one which could help make the most of the gunboat production facilities that the Pacification Stations of each cantonment had available.
Taking the CL-hull PFT, then adding the additional hull module of the NCA, and installing advanced technology to that design, could maximise the combat potential of whatever tenders may end up within cantonment space, while making the most of the gunboat production facilities the cantonments would have on hand.
Do these sound reasonable?
