G___.0 Hydran Equivalent Fighter-framed drogues
G___.01 The Hydrans being know for doing for doing the most wild and crazy stuff with fighters, developed a drogue based on a fighter frame rather than a shuttle frame. This new drogue was very effective at liberating Hydran vessels with a performance that was very similar to the protection gained from an ECM drone.
G___.01 Operations.
G___.011 Except where noted, a Fighter-framed drogue shall operate as a drogue under the rule of G34.
G___.012 The Fighter-framed can withstand 12 points of combat damage (G34.231).
G___.013 The Fighter-framed can not be death-dragged except at speed 31. G34.251 is raised to speed 30.
G___.014 The Fighter-framed drogue can only operate as a sensor drogue (G34.34)
G___.0141 The Fighter-framed drogue player can choose to increased the ECM loaned to the fighters that are being lent ECM from the carrier or lend to the carrier itself (assuming the drogue is tethered to the carrier) or may split the two points of ECM as one point to the carrier and one to the fighters. It can not lend ECCM to the fighters even though it can selected to loan ECCM to the vessel it is tethered to.
G___.1 Lyran Equivalent The Lyran Inter-drogue
G___.101 The Lyrans found that since their mech-links were very common; the mech-links could be commandeered into providing a defensive protection similar to the ECM-drone.
In truth this was a discovery made by an Interceptor manufacturer who'd failed at the tender process and needed to find a way to off-load their; parts, interceptors and put back into profit their "tooled up" factory.
G___.12 Operations
G___.121 Inter-drogue was built on an Interceptor frame. The Inter-drogue must be towed by a mech-link, it can not be towed by tether.
G___.122 The Inter-drogue can operate as a phaser-drogue and a sensor-drogue be ready to become a wild-weasel at a moment's notice.
G___.123 The phaser arcs of the two phaser-3s and two phaser-2s have the same arcs as listed on the Interceptor and the Disruptor too as a result of the interceptor on the mech-link having a requirement to have the same facing as the towing vessel (K2.31).
G___.124 The Inter-drogue does not fill out an energy allocation form and is assumed at all time (regardless of damage) as having enough power to fire all her phasers and her disruptors each and every turn. The warp engines on the SSD should be marked AWR and the Impulse engine should be marked APR and the Inter-drogue should never have warp boosted packs.
G___.125 The Inter-drogue may loan 2 points of ECM or ECCM to the ship and because of the larger size of the inter-drogue, it has "power augmentation systems" such that the towing vessel need not spend power to gain this ability.
G___.126 The inter-drogue may be released from the mech-link at which point it shall shall redirect the power that was going to the disruptor into specialized circuits that cause the inter-drogue to become a wild-weasel like unit. It shall not move ( although manouver thrusters will allow it turn if programmed to do so) but shall raise its interceptor shields as soon as it is released from the mech-link. Once functioning, like an autonomous death-rider the phasers can no longer be used. The towing vessel shall be protected by the "wild interceptor" but is under all wild weasel restrictions ( including a top speed of 4).
G___.127 The Inter-drogue shall take damage exactly as an interceptor. That is allocated under ship damage when the towing vessel takes damage or allocated under K5.0 when released.
G___.128 The Inter-drogue costs 40 BPV to purchase. They are rare an no ship has ever been seen with two of them in tow. If two were towed, only one could operate as the other would need the sensor and fire control computers to align themselves with the sensors and fire control computers of towing vessel, before use, and this would take longer than any one scenario is likely to last (perhaps an entire hour to make the alignment).
