It seems like most of the Feds can be accounted for!
There are a fair number of "old hulls" still unaccounted for the Roms.

Indeed, Fed CL class Minesweepers.
I could give you the info, but I figure someone else ought to have a later print of the Ship Name Registry than I have!
Come on guys, why are sitting on your hands?
At least I have a valid reason not to spend time combing the SNR. (Exams) But we all what kind of SFB nerds you are
By Michael C. Grafton (Mike_Grafton) on Thursday, November 05, 2009 - 02:22 pm: Edit |
Carl, I HAVE the ship name registry .pdf
What it doesn't show is what ships were in the 6th fleet (or region) on the DOTE.

Oh yeah, what the heck is "Yefimov's Anabasis?"
A scenario or mini campaign?
It might actually be kinda cool as a minicampaign...
By Loren Knight (Loren) on Thursday, November 05, 2009 - 02:52 pm: Edit |
It is a DotE scenario by SVC. I have only the draft version so I don't know if it was published yet. It is also going to be a fiction piece in the next paperback book which is to be called "The Day of the Eagle".
By Michael C. Grafton (Mike_Grafton) on Thursday, November 05, 2009 - 03:01 pm: Edit |
Cool.
Then the entire Fed Orbat is accounted for except as I noted:
Unification (NOT IN THE SHIP NAME REGISTRY)
Spruance (presumably the close escort for Nimitz, but not in the fiction AFAIK)
Crockett
and the various others like minesweepers...

"Yefimov's Anabasis" was published as a string of FedCom scenarios, in FC:RA if I recall correctly.
By Loren Knight (Loren) on Thursday, November 05, 2009 - 07:23 pm: Edit |
I think you do recall correctly.
By Ryan Opel (Ryan) on Thursday, November 05, 2009 - 08:30 pm: Edit |
Unification is listed as a DNG. It was that later in its career.
Did you get the Universe Index I sent you that has some additional ships named?
By Michael C. Grafton (Mike_Grafton) on Friday, November 06, 2009 - 11:43 am: Edit |
Are there any "notes" about Yefimov's Anabasis?
Like damage or opposing ships?
Ryan, I never recieved an email from you. All I have is the SVC ship names .pdf
By Sean O'Carroll (Terryoc) on Friday, November 06, 2009 - 01:40 pm: Edit |
From the scenario (8RA5) Yefimov's Anabasis in Romulan Attack:
The Sixth Fleet's Third Division was holding the sector of the line closest to the KLingons, so the Roms wanted to clear it as quickly as possible. However, no major targets in that area so Yefimov decided to conduct a fighting retreat.
The ships were spread out in a line roughly 5,000 ly long. from left to right (Fed perspective):
Zhadanov, Potemkin, Kashmir, Mallory. Kashmir and mallory had swapped patrol sectors the previous week. Rom forces: 2xKE, 2xWE, 2xBH, 2xSN. (In FC, these are snipe-B) Four ships were sent to Mallory's sector. No other notes on how the Roms were deployed, but each ship was attacked by at least one and no more than 4 ships.

FC:Battleships Attack list a Romulan Shrike Light Raiding Dreadnought (SHR) named Shrike as devastating a key Federation base station which had been considered safe from any plausible first strike on the day of the eagle.

I sent the file again.

10 years later, and do we know more?
I have to admit, I haven't been keeping up with the latest since I've been away from my books (Afghanistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Romania, Afghanistan and the Philippines).
