I am working on this rule.
Any specific stuff I need to be sure to cover?
Basically you get moved in a random direction at high speed when you get caught up.
So ESG interactions, seekers, other terrain and what?

If it affects all "stuff", then you should consider what happens when random Tholian web hexes get moved around.

The effect is limited to things generating a warp field.
Including things just under impulse.
Draft to SVC last nite late.
But I am still working on it of course.

How do seeking weapon races, especially plasma, remain competetive?
By Michael C. Grafton (Mike_Grafton) on Monday, November 16, 2009 - 02:54 pm: Edit |
Well, if your seeker gets a favorable roll it suddenly might be closing on the other guy at speed 96! With only its own movement counting for attenuation.
Again, its not someplace people will be hanging out often. Like Nebulae, blackholes, heat zones and such bad things are in there.
And actually it should be AWESOME with the cloak as it makes circling you at medium speed very hard/

The same can be said for getting a seeking weapon to actually enter the hex of its target.

"...you get moved in a random direction at high speed when you get caught up. "
What do you mean by "get caught up"?

Same as what Jim wants to know.
Though adding in from the name of the terrain "Slip and Slide" rather than "Random" I'd hope what you mean is something more based on the unit's behavior. Like a unit moving dead ahead would slip dead ahead, no question. But if it tried to turn it might end up sliding forward while turned off axis from the slide or that it might slide in the direction it's turning.

I've still got the files on my computer.
I am HOPING that SVC some day will decide that each CL gets a short "new terrain" feature...
As such, I am not putting it onto the BBS so it will be NEW! when it comes out.
