On the secon day of X-mas my gM gave to me
2 major planet
an A11 with 6 F5D

By John Stiff (Tarkin22180) on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 03:36 pm: Edit

If you did not move the ISC Home World, I can only assume that your empire has a "clause" for massive aid from the Klingon Empire (and other ISC allies).

Our alliance assumed that aid for the ISC was already going on.

(John Berg, Rob is "encouraging" you to get the turn out soon. There will be more verses each day!)

On the third day of X-mas my GM gave to me

(giggle) Strike two!

By Howard Bampton (Bampton) on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 06:51 pm: Edit

John S- you forgot to mention that Rob's list won't stop at 12. Among other things he has to include the Plasmas from a Romulan PF flotilla (30), drones launched by a Klingon Z-Y squadron, and drones launched by a Federation SCS group... The finale will be the number of counters in the F&E guy's counter trays.

there are only 12 days of christmas and I got a late start

By Terence Sean Terry O'Carroll (Terryoc) on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 10:32 pm: Edit

But Rob, you can get an extra-early start on Xmas 2010! Which you'll need if it gets up to the number of counters in the F&E guys' counter trays... :)

By John Stiff (Tarkin22180) on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 - 11:01 pm: Edit

LOL, One can only hope that not stopping at twelve will do the trick! I note that a maximized Hydran Carrier Group can fire a lot a Fusions. Between the Fusions, Hellbores, Phasers 1's, Gatlings, and shuttle craft, you have five days of Christmas right there!

Ahem...

I do not play baseball, so strikes are meaningless!

Taking the Homeworld is bad. Decimiating it will hurt. The morale checks can really hurt. But it does not force surrender. And one may move the Homeworld or designate a new one (takes two turns).

If it isn't foreign aid, I can see two possibilites. A lot of MRR or you have a really big bank account for such contingencies.

I think it is the later (as some players have advocated having a large amount of cash on hand earning 6% interest per turn). It is plausible that the ISC built up a large cash reserve while it was relatively peaceful.

Is a fleet in hand better than cash in the bank?

If we are caroling, filk happens!

For U3, the "Fight the Andros" Universe:

GC Night

GC night, U3 night
See John write, see ships fight.
Round yon planet the Andros swarm
All they want is to do it harm.
Blow it to Kingdom come,
Blow it to Kingdom come.

GC night, U3 night,
Players quake at the sight.
Andros stream from their blobs afar,
Galactic folks sing, "Feather and tar!
Got another Cobra,
Got another Cobra!"

GC night, U3 night,
On this fight, shed some light.
Radiant beams from the Andros' ships --
With the dawn, the planet rips.
Andros are a great pain,
Andros are a great pain.

More filk happens.

U4 Empires

U4 empires, glorious are;
Seeking friends they traverse afar,
Scouts and SRs, space and monsters,
Are found at ev’ry star.

Refrain

O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with critters giving fright,
Spaceward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to a perfect might.

There’s a Fed on my space map, plain
Roms are somewhere to give us pain,
Feds swear ever, Klingons never
Over us all will reign.

Refrain

Incavo has offered us fun;
Empires have we, their finance run
Incomes amazing, profits raising,
Building us ships by the ton.

Refrain

War is ours, its bitter perfume
Wafts from ships in gathering gloom;
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
Space is their final tomb.

Refrain

Glorious now one empire will rise;
Seeking now the winning prize;
“Blow it up now, blow it up now!”
Sounds throughout space and skies.

Refrain

Down here in Pensacola, FL, we have decided to let you all keep the snow. We don't want any.

(Besides, no one down here knows how to drive in it anyway.)

William they maybe bad in FL but here in AR?

Duh BillyBob why would I slow down? This here white stuff lets me go reeeally fast

Lord I think the collective IQ goes down faster than the accumulation:(

Jean you get your delivery hopefully about the time they have said it might be possible for a Christmas delivery here.

By Howard Bampton (Bampton) on Friday, December 18, 2009 - 11:24 pm: Edit

Do you think they know how to drive in it in DC or the 3-7" we are on track for in Philly? People wrap themselves around trees when it rains or gets dark.

Jean, be careful. John or I might take a road trip and dump a car trunk full at the foot of your driveway so you can not get out...

Kludge,

So just how much are they forcasting for the River Valley, specifically over in Johnson County? If things work out around here, I may be able to slip down to Clarksville for a few days to see my grandmother.

Waggs not sure my wife is the one who caught the forecast. I was outside trying to put up the Christmas lights my daughter is insisting on.

I was wanting to skip it this year but it hasn't worked out that way.

By Steve Wagner (Waggs) on Saturday, December 19, 2009 - 10:41 am: Edit

I tried avoiding that little chore myself especially with the 14 inches of snow we got a few weeks back.

As to the weather, I will call my folks who are down that way a few days ahead of time if I am able to get away.

Have a wonderful Christmas from mine to yours.
