Hi.
The Drex have a whole host of highly effective warships - but even they can get things less than perfect in execution.
One good example of this is the Hex Cruiser (OR8.8). The ship was designed to mount a heavy hypercannon in six different arcs, which led to its highly unorthodox design. However, the ship proved to be less useful in practice than the Drex had hoped in development - and the Hex Cruiser became something of an historical footnote.
However, once the Drex turned to the development of fast patrol ships, maybe the Hex Cruiser template could be considered as the basis for a Division Control Ship?
Losing the HCHs would be less of an issue in a Drex fleet engagement than it would be from, say, a BC - especially considering the attrition options (and heavy scout capabilities) a DCS layout would offer in its place.
Although, I can imagine what some people might say, if they consider a robot-crewed vessel which looks like it has six prongs sticking out of it when viewed from the top down, acting as a kind of base ship for fighters and gunboats...

Depends on what the Drex for 'By your command!' sounds like, I guess...
