This is a Poll to help us decide what to try for the first round of Playtesting. (And maybe help end some of the constant debate.)

1. What BPV should an Fed/Klink XCC have. Keeping in mind a possible 1X BCHX being around 300-325. (The ISC CCX is 315 but the ISC CC is just about a BCH in firepower anyway.)

2. A - Keep the same spread as absolute numbers, but not as a %tage
3. A - 31 I don't think anything else will play nice with GW-tech.
4. B - Sabot should be standard. Options on an ultra-sabot later but not necessary.
5. A - I'm willing to entertain R10 overloads but my gut-feel is it won't play nice with GW-tech
6. F - 10 EW (note to Ken: X1 is 8EW these days--see CL 23 X-errata)
7. D - slight increast plus fun stuff.
8. A - the CA is the backbone of SFB.
9. C - Room for EX2 ships with less-optimized armament.
10. D - 60 Warp. At the very least, 54, the same %tage increase over X1 as X1 was over GW. Room for less if X2 starts out less optimized for war.
11. C. Yes. I like Gee-wiz tech.

2. Should traditionally high BPV races (BP in general) maintain the: | D | Alter by a case by case basis:- the Gorns should for example retain their power ( but few ) ships whilst the ISC shouldn't have the assets to build high BPV ships |
3.What Top Speed should an 2X Ship have? (By any means) | C | But B is far more likely going to be it...but it's important to keep the speed below the speed of the GW plasma Sabot i.e. below 40. |
4. What Speed should Plasma Topedoes have? | F | 32 with a 48 Sabot |
5. What range should DF Overloads max at? | A | I'ld like to B & C depending on the race but the X1s and GWs have to play nice and that means finding a way that the X2s will be forced to venture into Overload Range |
6. What should 2X have for EW? | D | So long as the Limited Special Sensor generates absolutley no EW...I really like the mix of Special Sensor seeking weapon IDs and Full Aegis IDs. |
7. What should the 2X Shields be like? | D&F | I think a cruiser should have either 60 boxes front 40 rear or 50 & 35:- depending on whether or not Caps-To-SSReo comes about...but I also think a sheild refit for the Xork invasion might be in order. |
8. What should be the basis for the Backbone of the 2X fleet? | F | DDs / the CC should have the DN role / the CA should have the BCH role and the CL should have the CCH role...that is XDDs will have the CARa+ and NCA roles ( of the Federation anyway ) |
9. What should be the Phaser basis for 2X ships. | B & C | B during the Trade Wars and C during the Xork invasion. |
10. What should 2X CC's have for total warp power?(This is total not how it's acheived) | D | But would go for C or B during the Trade Wars moving up to D as a responce to the Xork invasion. |

Be careful to not put too much weight on this poll as all the choices do not reflect all the possibilities. For instance I don't want to see 52 warp. But I chose it because it is closest to 50 which I do want to see.
It is good for grasping the general attitude. So I support the idea.

A poll is irrelevant. Game design is not a democratic sport. Either the design as a whole fits into the existing game architecture or it does not. No particular answer has any meaning without taking into account how it integrates to every other question.
