MONSTER: FRALLIZOID

The ugliest monster in known space, the Frallizoid arose from the genetic muck of the primordial planet Frallia, or perhaps it landed there from some other galaxy and spawned the generic muck that became the Fralli species. No one is certain, and frankly, nobody much cares.

Primary weapon: Fright Beam, works like a Hydran fusion beam but instead of causing damage to the shields it causes internal damage directly, since shields are no defense against pure ugliness.

Secondary Weapon: The Ugly Sphere Generator or USG projects a field of ugliness four hexes from the monster in every direction.
SFB: Any ship entering this Zone of Ugly is reduced to a minimum crew as most of the crew have gone temporarily insane.
FC: Any ship entering this Zone of Ugly is unable to fire any weapons or take any other action until it emerges from the Field.

Just an opinion... but it may well prove to be the case that FRALLIZOID monsters reproduce asexually, (meaning only that a member of the species can choose to reproduce) without having to mate with another member of the species.

Good thing, that. FRALLIZOIDs are so ugly, they naturally repel each other!
