Hello, I am a 2nd generation Sfb player who got the materials to play from my father. Anyways, to get to the point, I am a boarding party enthusiast
and in a recent battle that is a starting point for a small war I captured a Trobin FFL in a battle. Now, I am in a delema, I wish to use the implosion bolt weapon but without an SSD or a rule to modify ships, I am unable to utilize it as repairing the FFL would cost a large amount of EPV, so in thinking this, I was wondering if there was any support for Omega anarchist, or perhaps for rule S.7?

As it happens, I once had a go at a sample Omega Anarchist setup (involving potential FRA/Mæsron exchanges), but the concept didn't go anywhere at the time.
I do believe that Omega might be an interesting place to further explore the concept, as much due to where such exchanges cannot happen (or perhaps might work in an asymmetrical manner) as to where they could be viable (in both directions).
In the case of the Trobrin, they are in a broadly similar category to species like the Eneen and Vudar, in terms of operating what "baseline" carbon-based life forms would consider to be hazardous working conditions.
Plus, we don't yet have any solid data on what kind of environmental systems Trobrin ships operate as standard (or what their home world looks like, for that matter), or what manner of atmospheric conditions an individual Trobrin can operate in without use of some sort of encounter suit.
(On a broader note, do the Trobrin have a range of worlds they can establish "open-air" colonies on, or might they be in a similar predicament as the Tholians in having to build domed colonies on most other planets?)
I imagine that most other Omega empires might be incapable of overcoming the biological hurdles involved in operating home-grown Trobrin technology, or at least be unwilling to pay the added cost required to make such an attempt.
To go in the other direction, it may be that most rival empires build their hulls with lower inherent tolerances for radiation than needed for the Trobrin themselves to make ready use of captured ships.
Of course, I'd defer to ADB in terms of what the setup should be. But it wouldn't surprise me if most species were better off stripping captured Trobrin ships for parts (and vice versa) rather than either side going through the trouble of re-purposing them for active service.

Dear Gary, although my opening point was about a possible Trobin/Maesron Anarchist, my main point overall was just a general Omega Anarchist. We know already that there are some occurrences of ships being captured by an enemy race (OS1.0) I was curious what those ships would look like re-purposed for other races tech.
