I hope we can see a Bampton map by the end of the holiday. They're helpful when the other can't be opened.

John, what is the current program for your map?
Howard, is your version possible by 8/12/14 if I can't download John's?

The URL John provided is for the software he uses, neither he nor I actually maintain it (if I did, it would bleeping work out of the box on Linux and MacOS).

That is the correct name for the map. The previous link will go live in a few months.

Jean, feel free to do housekeeping.

OK. I've found it again and hope I can remember where it is. I still can't open it. Seems my computer doesn't recognise gbx, whatever that is. Is there a version in some other format?

By Charles "Lucky" Coleman (Mwmiyd) on Saturday, August 15, 2015 - 12:17 pm: Edit

John, Just read up and the link to the program is listed in this thread.

http://www.sfb-galactic-conquest.org/U5/MAPS/U5_172_2.gif map updated now.

As Lucky noted, the map files John Berg updates user Cyberboard. That program is Windows specific (although WINE can run it for those of us using Linux or MacOS), so I produce a stitched together screen capture version for those folks that can't access it directly (I can't do so at work, for example).

Note that the common way folks download the file it ends up as foo_gbx.unk. You'll still need to rename it to be able to view it even if you have Cyberboard handy.

Thanks all. Howard's Map solves the problem. I have Windows 7 on my computer, and it doesn't want to know anything about Cyberboard, although that may be partly to do with me, as I probably only use about 5% of my computer's capabilities. And I've given up trying to make sense of Windows 8 on my laptop. lol.
