1. All correspondence should be copied to judge.

2. All correspondence to judge should have a header of RAT48. If it doesn't, then it does not qualify as having been sent - even if I reply to it.

3. Opponents should contact each other within 2 days with the objective to have your first game scheduled within a week. At the end of a week, if I have no correspondence from one or more players, those players will be removed from the tournament.

4. Players should have their games scheduled to be played within a maximum of 2 weeks of the start of a Tournament Round. Games should be completed within 3 weeks of the start of a Tournament Round unless Real-Life issues intrude.

5. A lack of communication by a player within a reasonable time frame will result in the player being replaced.

Ted Fay (when you join Ted) Paul Graves (when you join Paul) Paul F, Peter B, Ken L, Brian Evans, Bill S, Seth (if he wants to play anymore) Ron (if he wants to play anymore), Majead (in the MArtian timezone)... I might be missing a grognard or two but basically there you have it.
The rest of us are a flighty bunch.

Maybe just make them 8 player tourneys with a small group of reserves?

By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 - 12:29 pm: Edit

Andy, I'm afraid you're right.

But, still, having tourneys that actually get done is better than none. Or have days of the SFB online tournament come to an end?

If not, we have to get them to move fast and hard. Much more likely to be successful.

I would be keen to battle in tournament.

Gentlemen, all is not lost.

We still have active FtF tournament action at Council of Five Nations.

News on SFB at Council 2019 is posted in the Conventions area of the BBS. Please note we are looking for opinions from the SFB community. Please see the thread and post there.

Hope to see many of you this September 20-22, 2019!

p.s. I am good to participate in the regular cycle of online tournaments except for Platinum Hat.

So...I’ve been part of the problem. I beat Peter Bakija in the 2017 Plat Hat finals — which concluded in the latter half of 2018. As the last Fleet Captain I guess I’m suppose to judge the next tourney? I’d be happy to do that if we think we could get enough players. Come to think of it, I didn’t write my article yet. I’ll beg forgiveness and write the article if I can get the title. Bittersweet if I’m the last.

Probably no one cares about rated ace cards anymore. So why not hold 4 or 8 player mini tournaments?

Did netkill fall apart too?

By Andrew J Koch (Droid) on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 - 01:23 pm: Edit

I say the 8 player tourney is probably the most realistic...

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 - 08:44 pm: Edit

Dave! Write your article!

Add my name to the list of people who want to play.

I am in on any tournament. Rated Ace, Masters, EW, etc.

Did this ever happen? (I am not in charge of tournaments, just deletions.) It looks to me like all of these topics need to be deleted.

Steve i suggest keeping this one for a bit...
It's very recent
