A few new Peladine designs.
Apologies to Jessica if I'm stepping on her toes - she had nothing to do with these (J).
(JR1.RC3) BATTLE DESTROYER (BDD): During the Y165 Peladine War Games, Lyran Fleet command issued a new Peladine variant as a test of a newly developed modular technology. This system was designed to allow a starship variant to be converted in a fraction of the normal time. Two ships using this technology were distributed liberally between the Peladine Fleets with the Battle Destroyer being the most common.
This Destroyer Variant did not provide a very robust selection of variants and, after the Games were over, was deemed unsuccessful.

(JR1.RC4) STRIKE CRUISER (CS): The second of the War Games modular ships, the Strike Cruiser was based on the already variant-popular Light Cruiser hull. The design was viewed in a positive light (the larger hull being able to better support the new technology), and was seen in the Games in Y166 and Y167. This ship may have directly benefited the production of the Lyran JagdPanther Light Cruiser.

(JR1.RC5) WAR DREADNOUGHT (DNW): While the Peladine New Heavy Cruiser does not use any "production tricks" to create the larger hull, Peladine Naval Designers did view the Hydran Kiowa DNW with much interest. After the Lyrans also fielded a DNW, the Peladine issued this design upgrading a CW into a DN.
They designed a massive structure (which was actually longer than a standard DN) which would be welded to the bottom of any CW. The extra bracing needed for this also allowed the ship to be issued the rare and powerful Plasma-R torpedo. Problems arose, however, when they began investigating the warp engine requirements. No Peladine ship ever utilized more than two warp nacelles, and the only warp engines which generated enough power were already being used by the Dreadnought. While production of the underbelly structure would increase "DN" production (2 per year), there was no way to increase production of the massive warp nacelles. It was this limitation which kept this design on the drawing board and not in the combat simulators.

Jessica: Thanks for helping us clear out old posts! I left some proposals by Robert for you to look at; I can delete them if you don't want them. If you want some resources put on the main website (painting guides, whatever) let me know. I do have a sculptor working on Peladine minis, and I think we may add some more Peladines to FC in the next year.

Given that my website is in the process of going away ($14 a month for something that was no longer used), the painting guide would be neat to have hosted on the main website somewhere. I'll shoot you the .pdf via email (since I honestly don't know when the hosting service is going to flip the switch on my site). And I'll give Robert's proposals a looksee.
