I was in Plainfield, Illinois for a job interview the day the tornado struck that area in August 1990.

Saw the funnel cloud in my rear view window as I was driving home. (My house at the time was about 2 miles from the worst of the damage, and I knew several of the victims as we attended The same church.)

They were in the city of Joliet, it was hit fairly hard. All the oak trees I had planted 30 years ago were shredded at the old house, they lost power for 4 days. But the are ok, thats the important thing.
