Heh. Without the plasma on the map on T1, what makes the ISC turn off? The ISC can play chicken, getting some R10-8 PPD shots, and launch an enveloped G and then 20-40 more plasma from close range, and even get a P1 shot on a front shield, and *still* avoid R5 on T1.
At that point, the Gorn is either committed to just running into, what, 40+20 to 40 more plasma, just ate the full PPD and probably another dozen R8 phaser damage *or* turning off after eating the PPD and phasers and the ISC doesn't even need to run away for another turn.
Maybe a couple pseudos might convince the ISC to turn off early, but history has indicated that when your opponent calls your double pseudo bluff (either just ignoring them completely, or phasering the one that is from the out of arc tube and taking them on a flank, just in case one is real), it is usually terrible :-)
