game 3.2 CrashandBurn vs MadJack
four turns in and still going , I was in bad shape by the end of T3. But made a major comeback in T4. I am thinking its still a 50-50 game, we are both trashed.

Only the final round remains, pitting Jack Taylor's WYN Black Shark (BB) againt Dana Madsens Orion Battle Raider (HHGBB / 11G11). Dana Madsen has announced he will use the two hellbore-FA, phaser-G-FA and type-B drone racks in the wings option. The game is to be completed by 16 January.

Mad Jack's WYN Black Shark (type-B drone racks in the options) triumphs over Dana Madsen's Orion (center options 2xHellbore, 1xphaser-G; wing options type-B drone racks) in a bitter contest that saw heavy damage to the WYN before the Orion finally went down.

MadJack GBS-BB versus Madman Orion HGHBB
T1-
Turn 1 I plotted a 15/26 split with 2 overloads, 1 standard, 2 in tractor, 2 suicide shuttles, and 1 in HET. My plan was to go straight at him, take his shot, and then shoot a rear shield. If I get lucky tractor him and force him to deal with 6 seeking weapons. All this assuming he only doubles one warp and does not cloak, which he did.
Dana, doubled 1 warp engine. He held standard hellbores, 1 ww, put 14 in movement with a 19/26 split, and had 10 in general reinforcement.
We both moved up the board with me slipping towards him and him slipping away a little bit.
Around impulse 20 I made a turn to cross his T and then made another turn in order to keep him in FA.
On impulse 30 we both launched drones and I launched 2 suicide shuttles. At this point I am either concerned I am going to lose #1 during fire on impulse 31 or that he would move out of FA and shoot on impulse 31. I can't remember which, but I decided to HET on 31. He moved to range 2 with both of us looking at shield 2. We then fired everything we had.
I rolled kinda crappy with p-1, good with P-3, and hit with all 3 disrupters for a grand total of 65.
He rolled good with p1s, pretty good with p3's, and hit with 2 standard hellbores.
After reinforcement, I took 2 volley's of 10/17 and didn't really get hurt. 4 power, 3 p-3's, 1 disr, 2 drone racks (annoying), some batteries.
He took 26 internals- lots of power, all the impulse was gone, he was down to 19 power. I got 1 drone rack, and only a couple phasers. Think I got 2 shuttles too and a tractor beam. And some BRIDGES...…..
We end the turn range 3 I think. I have 4 drones at range 1 and 2 sui's range 2. He has two drones range 1 from me.
Turn 2-
I have 34 power. I put 7 in phasers, charge 2 batteries, put 15 into movement (20/14),
4 in tractor, and power a repair on shield 6. I use CDR to start repair on 2 p3's.
Not sure I really had a plan here. I was a little worried he might try to wrap around and hit me again with just phasers and do lots of little volley's. That is why I put so much in tractor. I could use it on him or his drones, whichever. I am mostly thinking turn the ship around and shoot turn 3 or run t3 if I think I can.
Dana only doubles 1 warp for a total of 28 power. He starts the Hellbores, holds the ww, 4 in batteries, put 3 in phasers, 2 in tractor, and 8 in movement using a 4/14 split. He is going to weasel!! He also starts repair on imp as APR.
Impulse 1 he weasels my 4 drones and drops tracking on his drones. He takes a few collateral. Now I am not too worried about getting run over and he only has 1 drone rack. He brings up fire control and tractors a suicide shuttle dragging it to death and uses p3 to kill the other one. He also speeds up to 14. We spend most of the turn turning around and end up around range 5. I launch 2 regular manned shuttles and 2 drones. He launches his 1 drone. I fire a p3 at his drone range 2 but don't kill it. End of turn we make our repairs and get ready for T3 with no other fire.
T3- I still have 34 power + 2 batteries. I put 1 in phasers, 2 overloads, 13 in shield 6, 1 in trac, with 7 in movemement. I plan a 9/7/4 plot with some moves close together in there at the splits. Start to repair a disrupter. T3 I am thinking I am getting internals again which he can't really afford and by using the big brick I am going to mitigate his shot. For him to get close he will have to deal with 4 drones somehow and I have a couple shuttles on the board that might also be able to get internals.
Dana- again only doubles 1 warp for 29 total power + 4 batteries. He puts 3 more in phasers, 2 in tractor, loads standard hellbores again, partially loads a HET. He puts 10.333 in movements and plots 12/22/12.
Impulse 2 I kill his t2 drone with a p3. Impulse 4 he kills my t2 drones with RA+L p3's. Impulse 5 he is at r2 with me facing his #1 and him looking at my shield 6. I launch 2 t-4's here thinking he might shoot. He doesn't launch anything. Ok so now I am thinking, I might be able to blow the drone rack off, kill the tractor beam he has left, and kill all his shuttles on the ship. Plus get some phasers maybe if he doesn't shoot. So I let it rip and fired everything I had at him at r2. I held back 1 charged P3, and the 2 shuttles are still out there but can't shoot yet. I added a std disrupter using batteries, so 2 overloads, 1 std, 6 p1, 1 p3, range 2
I roll decent with the p1's and hit with all the disrupters. 6/6 in this battle all on 1-5. Adds up to 52 with only 1 reinforcement.
21 internals HOT DOG...except...I did not hit a drone rack, only got 1 shuttle, only got 2 phasers... I did get the 2nd tractor beam, 6 power and all the batteries. AND....I got All his bridge!! Now he is uncontrolled and crippled.
Impulse 6 - he moves to range 1. I am ready to get punched. He has the gat, 3 P1, and the hellbores.
My drones are in his way a little. He shoots 1 drone and uses his drone to counter my other one. He also launches a shuttle which I think must be a suicide. I fire my only remaining powered p3 at the shuttle trying to cripple it but roll a 6. It turns out not to be a suicide anyway thank GOD. He still doesn't fire. He is fixated on a HET to get onto my mostly down 6. He drives through my hex, does not fire. He get on shield 6 but facing the wrong way and shoots a p3 but finds part of my brick. Thanks to my shifty speed changes I am able to make it so he will not get a good shot on my down 6 unless he can HET twice. Late turn he HETs and eventually take a shot on my #4. Somewhere in there one of my shuttles killed his only shuttle and his shot mine but did not cripple it.
He shoots 3 p1, 2 p3, 2 std hellbores, range 1. Does 19 to shield 4 with phasers (no internals) then 19 internals from hellbores at range 1 imp 30, shield 4.
Drone rack, disr, 4 phasers including 2 p1's, only 3 power, 1 tractor, the batteries...
I have 43 internals. EOT turn I have 3 disr, 4 p1, 3 p3, 1 drone rack and 31 power left. Not really hurt that bad. 2 shuttles on the board too.
He has 49 internals, still has most of his weapons really, no shuttles, but only 12 power before doubling, he is crippled and UNCONTROLLED.
So he can't HET, can't use speed changes, is turn mode B, and can only fire once a turn. It's bad...real bad... He is only at range 2 from me.
He thinks about it for a while but can't really figure out how to make it work. I can take another punch like the ones he has been dishing out. He can't take another one from me.
It was a very well played game. Dice were pretty even so they did not make much of a difference. Did not really see a mistake on either side.
