You don't need to formally withdraw your Andros nor to request the Tholians.

The first person to put up a legit Tholian force gets them (to my understanding), so I suggest you do that. :-)

Hello, everyone!

Thanks for the quick responses on my battlegroup and sorry for the confusing regarding my frigate scout.

I have to admit I did only check my force for the upper MC limitation and did not thought of the lower limitation until after it was revised by SPP.
It was 10pm here in Germany when I found this topic open and was dedicated to get the drone costs right that I did not read this part right.

Unfortunately that goal did not succeeded either as I forgot that drone racks came with a full load of slow Type-I drones which were traded in for upgraded selections. I am afraid my calculations were based on buying drones in addition to the drones already there. I will post a revised battlegroup in a few moments with a detailed cost breakdown.
Maybe someone could confirm if I got it right this time or messed up again.

-> 8 Type-IM each for 0.5pts (speed upgrade) for a total cost of +4 per ship

FFS: 1 G-rack w/4 spaces for drones and three reloads (one constisting of 8 ADDs)
-> 2 Type-IM each for 0.5pts (speed upgrade) for a total cost of +1
-> 1 Type-IM-ATG-Probe for 0.5 (speed upgrade) + 0.0 (replacing warhead with probe module) + 0.5 (ATG) = total cost of +1
-> 1 Type-IIIM-ECM for 0.5(speed upgrade) + 0.0 (replacing warhead with ECM module) + 0.5 (frame)= total cost of +1

Maybe someone can confirm my calculations.

Two follow-up questions:
1) According to rule #2 any technology not within general use by Y175 is forbidden. Does this also refers to the availability of drones per FD10.6 so my ECM and probe drone (both restricted) and the Type-III frame (limited) were in violation of rule number 2?
Or does the special rule FD10.673 (scout ships from drone using races) takes precedence?

2) For the upcoming task/engagement: Do I understand it right? Drone costs are paid for 1 loadout and any reload would consist of the same amout of drones?
So my NCA and DDG would have a total off 24 Type-IM each and the FFS a total of 6 Type-IM, 3 ECM drones and 3 probe drones? Am I right?

The ISC battle Group is okay on PPDs. There are two on the "command ship" and one on the Heavy Cruiser which with the two frigates forms a complete group of three ships. Indeed, the force could have as many as five PPDs if the Command ship happened to be a dreadnought (four PPDs) being escorted by a heavy cruiser and two frigates.

Wayne Douglas Power is correct, you have to assign your Commander's Options, you cannot wait until you arrive on the field of battle to decide which ships are carrying your three T-bombs. You can either assign all three to the heavy cruiser, or assign two to the heavy cruiser and one to a destroyer or the scout, or one to the heavy cruiser and two to a destroyer or the scout, or one to the heavy cruiser and one to a destroyer and one to the scout. Or two to one destroyer and the third to another destroyer or the scout, and so on.

But you must make the assignment.

Thanks, SPP, for noting my error on the DDG.

I have redone the battlegroup and added 4 extra BP on the NCA and FFS to check for any other mistakes I might have made.
EDIT: Two more BPs on the NCA and two more on the FFS of course.

Although, I would have kinda loved the idea of buying two dummy PH-3 for the DDG (which would made up for the two extra points I've calculated too much) and have it pretend to have the plus-refit installed.
