I could have sworn that there had been a Frax group topic at some point, or perhaps one for simualtor empires in general, but perhaps not.

Apologies in advance if this counts as "obvious variant" material, but I was wondering about how the various academy instructors would have implemented (G33.0) for the Frax Battle Line.

On the surface (ahem), the first stop would likely be a heavy war destroyer built up from their war destroyer. Once "real" Alpha Octant empires start fielding advanced technology heavy war destroyers, perhaps a HWX would appear for the Frax in the simulators also.

But I also wonder if there could be some sort of modular "submarine heavy destroyer", built up from the submarine destroyer; plus an advanced technology version of the same. It might be more of a challenge to figure out if, or how, the Frax could implement this system of modularity on a sub rather than on a "line" warship. Yet it might make for an interesting thought experiment nonetheless.

There might need to be some sort of Annex #8H costings for unique Frax weapon types, such as axion torpedoes, depending on how many (if any) of those they would be allowed to place in these hulls' OPT mounts.

To round up, that would be somewhere between two and four proposed hulls: a HDW, a HWX, and (if viable) an "SHD" and an "SHX".

Do any of those sound like they might be worth considering at some point?
