We are still waiting on sign ups with 14.

By Paul Franz (Andromedan) on Sunday, July 05, 2020 - 11:06 am: Edit

We have 15 now. Bill Schoeller just signed up. I do not know if he has paid the entrance fee yet.

BTW, if we don't have 16 by Thursday. I will sign up.

By Paul Franz (Andromedan) on Sunday, July 05, 2020 - 07:21 pm: Edit

I think we have 16. I see Greg Diekhaus signed up.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Monday, July 06, 2020 - 10:48 am: Edit

Woo hoo!

Someone please now clearly articulate what actual SSD and with what modification I'm using as the Andro :-)

By Gregg Dieckhaus (Gdieck) on Monday, July 06, 2020 - 11:19 am: Edit

Yes, I signed up... now to see if I can remember how to play...

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Monday, July 06, 2020 - 11:42 am: Edit

Confirming that we have 16 sign-ups.

I will work on the tree and try to have it posted by tomorrow evening.

By Randy Green (Hollywood750) on Monday, July 06, 2020 - 07:51 pm: Edit

I think you're using the new, 6-box Andro SSD, Peter. 1 forward PA panel box, 1 hull, 1 bridge, 1 TR-heavy, 2 warp power. I'd keep 'em off the rear hemisphere, if it at all possible, Mr. Bakija. Good luck! :)

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Monday, July 06, 2020 - 09:05 pm: Edit

Hmm. That seems rough.

By Gregg Dieckhaus (Gdieck) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 11:45 am: Edit

Looks like someone else signed up before me so I will be sitting this one out. If anyone is looking to schedule a game of practice hit me up!
Gregg

Gregg you are welcome to take my place. I will auto enter on the next one!

Sigh. The tree was sent out.

By Andy Koch (Droid) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 02:46 pm: Edit

Can we just definitively agree on the Andro as a group of smart(ish) adults?
I mean, I'm not in this one so... feel free to harshly silence me

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 03:23 pm: Edit

I sent SPP an email asking to clarify.

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 04:06 pm: Edit

And it is the same as the one used by Emekos in the first Sapphire Start and Paul Franz in the 4th Sapphire Star.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 04:57 pm: Edit

I think the main point here is "I don't know which one that is, and I can't find anything that clearly indicates which one it is, and I have no way to know that they both played the same one" :-)

The SFBOL tournament room has 6 different Andromedan SSDs available to choose from.

I *think* that Paul was using the one listed as "Andromedan TKC-2011-Andromedan Krait (Official ADB Playtest)". But with the 2TRH replaced by 2TRL (although that SSD doesn't say to do that, and does specifically say that the ship's TR beams are Heavy TR beams at all times, so I'm unclear on why Paul replaced the TRH's with TRL's, but it possibly was at the request of the tournament organizer, or possibly a misunderstanding).

Again, I'm in no way trying to be difficult. And am happy to play whatever someone tells me to play. But I can't really tell what that is.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 05:08 pm: Edit

SPP, Paul F, and I are currently trying to suss out an answer via e-mail.

By wayne douglas power (Wayne) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 09:06 pm: Edit

Yes, I think it is the TKC 2011, the one in the last page of the 2012 Tournament Rules SSD book, but it has only 2x TRLs instead of the normal 2x TRHs it has. (a new play test ?).

By Jack Taylor (Jtaylor) on Wednesday, July 08, 2020 - 11:56 pm: Edit

T2012 has 3 TRL's, 4 batteries. I have always assumed that would be the sanctioned one for tournaments where a rated Ace is involved.

By Paul Franz (Andromedan) on Thursday, July 09, 2020 - 05:26 am: Edit

Wayne is correct. It is the 2011 but using TRLs instead of TRHs.
