Three turns in and interesting.

T1: I move 15/17/24 (18 moves) and have an enveloper in tube B. Jack moves 19/26 (on 12). He slips in towards me, I slip out a little. At R14, I launch my enveloper from tube B. Jack shoots me in the face with 3 of 4 standard disruptors, hitting my #1 for 9. He turns off and runs, I just slip towards him. Near the end of the turn, he launches 4 drones in a bunch of different hexes. We end at about 10 hexes, me facing A, him facing also A.

T2: I move 24 till impulse 14, then speed up to 26 (that was possibly a battery); Jack moves 20, slows down to 16 on impulse 5. I keep moving A to try and get around his drones on the map. Jack turns towards me in direction B. I get in front of his drone cloud, but can't really move towards him without dealing with them. He gets near the North map wall, I get to about R10 from his #2 shield, so I launch 50 plasma at him (S+F from A+C). Jack immediately speeds up to 26 on the next impulse. I turn off and speed up to 26. He turns towards me and just rushes my 50 plasma. He centerlines it at R1, vaporizes my 15 point plasma F with 9xP3s, and then slips the next impulse to take the S torp on his #2. The torp is real, scores 30 damage, he uses a battery (presumably) to keep the shield at 1 box. We spend the rest of the turn with me running towards the East wall, him and his drones following. Impulse 32, he fires 4 standard disruptors at my #4, hits with 3 for 9 damage which all sticks. We end with me near the East wall, his drones behind me (there are 6 now; he launched a couple during the turn) , about R10.

T3: I move 31 till 16, slow down to 23 starting on impulse 17. Jack moves 20 till impulse 18, when he speeds up to 28 (I suspect most or all of that involved batteries) till the end of the turn. I immediately turn South (dir D), then turn SW (dir E) as soon as I can; I'm in the middle of the map, so the corner is far off. I keep in front of the drones. Jack closes in, facing dir D. We get to R3, my #2 facing his #6 or #1 (near the spine). I launch a pair of F torps (D and fast load from tube B). They move the next impulse and Jack does not. He is in a situation where on the next impulse, he either is going to need to go forward and take the plasma on his facing #6 or turn somewhere. He shoots my #2 for 8 damage with a single OL disruptor. Next impulse, he turns dir E and speeds up to 28. I turn dir F to try and get behind him. My plasma follows him at close range, I follow them, angling to get a phaser shot at the shield the plasma will likely hit in a few impulses. Jack shoots my plasma with 5xP3, and me in the face for 8 more damage on my #1. He keeps evading, I follow, but am skirting a cloud of drones to my right side. When it is inevitable that the plasma is about to hit him for 21 damage, he slips in front of it and takes 21 on his #4 (all sticks). I shoot down one close drone with a P3 and then another P3. Ha launches a new 6th drone and turns South (dir D again), trying to delay a phaser strike. He fires another 2xP1 at my #6 for 8 more damage. I eventually get a R4 shot on his 3 box #4 with 4xP1, roll well, score 18 damage, doing 15 internals. The GBS loses 2 warp, a drone, 2xP3, a P1, and a tractor (and hull). I tractor the new drone, ID it as a type I, kill it with a P3. I turn North. We end at 8 hexes, #4 to #4. Jack is 4 hexes from the wall. There are still 5 drones behind me, but none are closer than R2.

We saved here to continue later this week. My shields are 18-22-24-15-24-22 and I have no internals. The GBS has shields of 30-1-24-0-24-30. He has 18 internals, down 2 warp, 2xRX P3, 1x360 P1, a drone rack, tractor, hull. I've seen 7 drones, 2 are dead, haven't IDed any type IVs yet, and an unknown number (3 or 4) died in a drone rack. I have no plasma ready on T4 (except maybe a fast F). Neither of us have used any shuttles. Jack has hit with 7/9 disruptors, including the one OL.

I was honestly expecting to get tractored and killed on T3 by all the drones on the map, but apparently Jack didn't have much, if any tractor power available (or did and didn't try it?), but we'll find out when the game is over.

4 more turns in:

T4: We start 8 hexes apart, facing in opposite directions, #4 to #4. He has 5 drones pursuing me and his #4 shield is down. I move 24/16 (22 moves); GBS goes 16 till 3 then 14 the rest of the turn. Impulse 1 I fire a cycled P1 at his down #4, do 2 damage, he stops it with general. I just move off towards the opposite corner of the map the rest of the turn. GBS comes about at speed 14. At some point, I fire a couple P1s at his 1 box #2 at 15 hexes, but roll 5, 5 and do nothing. He scuffs up my #5 shield for 3 points of damage late in the turn with a couple disruptors. The drones on the map all fall off the map by the end of the turn (one survives till impulse 4 of the next). We end the turn at about 15 hexes. GBS fixes a drone rack and a box on his #4.

T5: I move 12 all turn. GBS moves 14 most of the turn, accelerating to 27 late in the turn (possibly batteries). I'm near the NW corner of the map. GBS closes a little, I turn direction E, and at 13 hexes, launch an enveloper out of launcher A. GBS shoots my #6 for a few points with some standard disruptors and turns off. I turn and follow as the enveloper closes in. GBS speeds up to 27; I fire 4xP1 at his 1 box #4, roll weak, do 2 damage, he blocks it. The plasma ends at 1 hex, he kills it with a couple P3s. We end at about R15 again. GBS fixes 2xP3.

T6: I move 17/24/12. GBS moves 4/3, speeding up to 13 late (probably batteries). GBS is moving slow, so I just avoid him all turn. I take some damage on my #3 from some long range disruptor fire. Impulse 32, GBS launches 2 drones (including one from the repaired, reloaded drone rack). We end at about R13, me near the North map edge.

T7: I move 17/24. GBS moves 13/9/4, speeding up to 14 late. I move around the edge of the map. Middle of the turn, from about R10, I launch 30+20 plasma from my B+D tubes. Plasma closes in, he speeds up to 14. I kill his 2 drones with P3s. He fires all his phasers into my plasma right before it hits his #3; the S torp is fake, the F torp is mostly vaporized, but does 3 damage to his #5. We end at about 10 hexes, me near the middle of the East map wall facing D, him off of my #2 shield, facing C.

Interesting, the GBS must of taken a drone rack offline on turn two, unloaded a drone turn 2, 3 and perhaps turn 4, and then loaded a drone on the repaired rack turn 5.

Yep. No drones were launched on turns 4 and 5. He repaired the rack during T4. He could have also unloaded some drones on T4, and reloaded the repaired rack on T5, making it ready to launch on T6.

I got no idea what the current drone situation it; I think I have shot down 4 (all type I) and 5 fell off the map? So 9 drones dead, some died in a rack (likely 3 or 4). Haven't ID'ed any type IVs yet, but assuming he had the standard 2 of them, that's starting with 22 drones, and somewhere between 12 and 14 are dead.
