DW-based F-111 carrier/PFT
It would be cool if we could have a Federation DW-based F-111 carrier and PFT. This is an obvious design that gets no credit. I just want to see the hull in print.
While it might be argued that the DW is "too small" to carry the F-111, I wouldn't think so. All other empires have PFTs based on the DW hull, and gunboats are much bigger than any fighter, including the F-111. It is a conspicuously missing design for the Feds. They really should have it. If the F-111 is too much, please make it an F-101 carrier, then. Either way, they should definitely have a DW-based heavy fighter carrier.
It would also need a PFT version. Again, this is a noticeably missing design in the fleet and should be filled with an official design, even if it is conjectural.
That might be the ADW published in R11.
It is a DW carrying a half-squadron of F-111s.

Ok, then I'd like to see the full squadron version and see the full flotilla gunboat version.
Again, full gunboat squadrons on DW hulls are common. I'd like to see the Fed version.
Also, I am primarily interest in the gunboat tender. I only bring up the F-111 or other heavy fighter to give it a "real ship" anchor.
Actually, DD, CL, and CW PFT hulls are full flotilla hulls, DWs are considered to small, being war designs, for a full flotilla, and have half flotillas.
Gorn have both a full flotilla and half flotilla type tenders on their BDD hulls, so it's not impossible. Also, the Romulan Skyhawk PFT carries a full flotilla.
As I see it, perhaps the biggest obstacle would be how the Fed DWV lost a third of its heavy weapons as a result of its conversion from the base hull.
May I respectfully suggest that we look at a potential DW hulled carrier with a full (twelve fighter) squadron of F-18s might look like before we move to this ship? My reason for asking is that such a ship MIGHT have its shuttle bay converted for a full squadron of six F-101s, which feels like what the bureaucrats at Fed BuShip ought to be more comfortable with.
Also, I (vaguely) recall that, in an issue of Captain's Log, there was a DW hulled analogy of the Patrol Carrier, but for the life of me, I can't remember WHO it was for, let alone which Captain's Log it was in.

The BDD and Skyhawks were originally designed to peace time standards.
