Ditto, my brother and sister could not visit me for Easter because of the Coronavirus Pandemic. We talked on the phone, etc. The boneless lamb was still delicious as well as the chocolate Easter Egg. This year, it really is the thought that counts.

Hey Roy,

Was it the "quick test" that often has false positives? Or one of the more accurate tests? It is flue season. The symptoms are similar. I hope your doctor can prescribe that remdesivir. There are better medications available today than way back in March.

I hope it is a mild case and that you all get better soon!

The previous cryptic message about peace and going home definitely seems to have been a ploy.
Andros have attacked strong.

Another Romulans system has been infected with poison, despite some fairly heavy fighting (and reports of a half dozen or so Romulan ships conducting “honor” charges by trying to ram Andromedan mother-ships) several Andromedan cargo ships landed on the system.
Andromedan strategy seem to have changed little. Heavily emphasis on hurting the Galactic Power economic engines. One SR operation was lost and a large chunk of merchant logistics was taken out.

So operation “Unity” is on! Of course what this means exactly not a single empire could tell the GWW. All the experts we talked to said the problems in mounting such an operation (the traveling to the Andromedan home galaxy and ending their aggression) seem insurmountable. The vaunted new class of high end technology ships, while being feverishly worked on by many, hasnt produced a single 2X ship in operation. The special navigation and movement needed to go “intergalactic” is written only on tablets. Not a single experiment with this new kind of MV has been announced. The capital outlay for such an operation seem to be as large as the combine income of all the Galactic Powers! The GWW asks this: What awaits us at the “home” galaxy of the Andromedans? What if they are as large as the Galactic Powers? Can we even send enough resources “there” to have a fighting chance? Once we FINALLY get “there” then what?
Some think tank groups are worried the combine R and D branches of the Galactic Powers needs to do more, spend more, build more, in the way of the future operation. They understand the need for self defense, but they say sitting stagnant does NOT do anything to stopping the now 10yr war.

Andro tactics seem to have changed. We have seen (in the only major battle) a huge task force consisting of big semi independent motherships with few to any satships. Also we have seen the heavy use of big maulers and they have 1st generation X tech pretty much uniform in the fleets. Most disturbing however is the fact that they have vaporized two Vari systems that had been poisoned and left fallow. Its unclear why they have started to remove these poisoned systems now, but more are just sitting around undefended. If the galaxy finds a cure to the poison there wont be any system to “cure”.

I have my doubts that you Andros are plants. I think you are really "snakes". Your have ships named Cobra, Eel, Mamba, etc. Snakes strike fear in most Earth creatures. One Earth creature that is unafraid is the "Mongoose". In fact, he eats Cobras for breakfast.

In point of fact there is no pollution. With modern weather control and advanced recycling of materials. There is no poverty, no money, and very little crime. Some humans cannot handle paradise - they are cared for never-the-less. Unfortunately there are hostile aliens.

Yes, we have prevented Global Warming, and Global Cooling for that matter. We have balance!

GWW U9 188.1 New Flash!!!!!

The War has escalated. 2 GP have been hurt by Andro attacks, the Frax and Qixa. Between them 4 systems were attacked and the results were not good. All 4 GP systems were lost/poisoned. The new Andromedan strategy continues, a previously poisoned Rom system has been completely obliterated. Perhaps they use the poison to lure empires into a lull of defense, then come back later to finish the job? GP think-tanks had always assumed that this Andro-Forming was a prelude to invasion and conquest; Andros converting GP system to Andro habitation. However now that seems to not be the case, or they are afraid we have found a cure (which as of this writing the GWW cannot confirm).

The overall numbers are not sustainable for the GP. The merchant marine economic losses have double. The Military loses have doubled. The system lost have doubled. The GP need something to stop the bleeding, and perhaps the morale boost they need occurred in Kzinti space. A top secret Kzinti “hunter-Killer” squadron found and destroyed a Andro SatBase. It a small victory as they probably have 100s of Satbases, but its something. It is the GP first offensive action in the war.

GWW is still looking for Operation Unity. The GWW has interviewed some leading GP scientists and what they tell is is not encouraging. Here is a general summary of what the GWW has learned.

The super high speed movement between galaxies is still theoretical.
Normal movement to other galaxies is not feasible.
New, super advanced ships will probably be needed, and absolutely known are known to exist.
New forms of supply will need to be developed, of which known are even known.
GP know that 2 galaxies seem to be involved, one is called the HUB and the other ANDROMEDA, but no detailed astronomical observations of any great detail have occurred.
The estimated cost of mounting an operation to just one galaxy is 1/3 the total Galactic Power GNP.
The estimated research outlay needs to be in the 10,000 of thousands of economic points.

It seems disheartening that the Andros already have the means to move to two other galaxies and the GP cant even open the garage door for one.
