I have paid on the SF Store to join this tournament. Do I have to do anything else to sign up?

By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Friday, March 03, 2023 - 10:12 am: Edit

@Guy: If you have not already done so, sign up on the SFBOL website. A link is at the top of this topic. That is where you will select your ship and officially register - the SF store is just used to pay the entry fee.

By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Tuesday, March 07, 2023 - 05:01 pm: Edit

Well. At least I'll be out of the tournament early! Heh.

@Andy: Sorry. I'll do my best, but I put the ISC in the top 3 Fed killers in the tourney game.

By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Tuesday, March 07, 2023 - 05:03 pm: Edit

@Gregg: Hey, let me know when you want do do this. My schedule is generally weeknights starting at 6 or 7 pm. Central time, except Wed. when I'm usually not available. I can do other times, like weekends, but those tend to be "I schedule when I can." Lemme know.

By Jamey Johnston (Totino) on Tuesday, March 07, 2023 - 05:15 pm: Edit

I'll be watching for the results here, as well. Always enjoy reading the battle reports.

Of note: Happy to see there's a Fed v Klingon. And I think I'll be rooting for madjack. In my local group, we consider the Hydran TCC to be just a hair under the bar of all the others, and I like rooting for the underdog.

@Ted. It's okay. I will be fighting an uphill battle myself...

Jeff and I are in contact about our round 1 game.

By Andy Koch (Droid) on Thursday, March 09, 2023 - 09:15 am: Edit

@ Jamey

The Hydran takes some work, but it is a very competitive ship, and Jack is a pretty durned good player

By Andy Koch (Droid) on Thursday, March 09, 2023 - 09:17 am: Edit

@ TEd
It's tied for 3rd with about 6 other ships.

By Ted Fay (Catwhoeatsphoto) on Thursday, March 09, 2023 - 09:24 am: Edit

Yeah, totally agree. Which is why I took the Fed. Maybe continued poor performance of that ship in the tourney by Ace players (which *all* of us are at this point) will finally convince SPP and SVC of the need for a TCF.

But I'm not keeping my hopes up.

By Daniel Bitseff (Cadet_Stimpy) on Thursday, March 09, 2023 - 11:43 am: Edit

Jason's Fed wins vs. my Klingon. I had good position after turn one when he fired ph-1s at range 4 on scatterpack drones, rolled poorly & only destroyed 2. Fed then turned out & Klingon got into pursuit mode with full overloads. But I got too antsy, fretting that he would scoot out of overload range, and fired too early (range 8: 4xol dr, 2xph-1). I missed with 2 overloads and rolled 5,6 with phasers, so barely scratched the shield. He hetted back at me with half the turn still left. I made my second huge mistake & emer decelled so that I could use my WW, instead of running away & making him roll dice. He got to range 1 & ended my misery. Good portion of Fed's internals came from his own feedback. Klingon was completely gutted. Well played, Jason - good luck next round!
