Currently, the only upgrade the Sparrowhawk Leader has over the standard hull is two flag boxes (an earlier edition of the SSD essentially put K modules on the leader). However, both the Seahawk Leader and the Skyhawk Leader received a plasma G torpedo welded to the boom and some energy boxes to power it. If these to smaller hulls could successfully handle the extra stress, it seems like the larger Sparrowhawk and Firehawk hulls could do so as well.

My proposal is to create an "Attack" version of these two ships that includes a plasma G and a few additional power boxes to mirror what happened in the Seahawk and Skyhawk. I'm calling them "Attack" versions because there's already a published Sparrowhawk Leader, and the Novahawk is arguably already a Firehawk Leader.

I would think the SparrowHawk-J is the attack version. Star Fleet Times had a FireHawk version with J-modules (FHZ)

They call the Sp-J the "Assault Cruiser" version, typically used for base assaults and the like.

I think it would make sense to add J modules to an FH hull, but I think the powers that be decided that four plasma S torpedoes was too much for a cruiser and expressly prohibited the FH from using J modules.
