1.3 bakija (HYD) vs Sir_Cat_Who_Eats_Photons
Underway!
T1: HYD moves 16 till 24 then 31. GBS moves 16 till 24, then 31. We move towards each other, slipping occasionally. Impulse 24, we both speed up to 31. GBS launches 4 medium drones. Impulse 26 we get to R7, sort of oblique, #6 to #6. GBS fires 2xOL (both hit), 2x std (1 hit), 6xP1 (rolls hot), does 31 total damage, sees 2 reinforcement, HYD #6 holds at 1 box. Impulse 27, GBS turns off, HYD turns in. HYD is R7 off GBS #5, fires OL HB, 5xP1. P1s roll well, OL HB hits, sees 1 reinforcement, GBS #5 holds at 1 box. Next impulse, HYD fires std HB, hits, does 6 in through the #5, hitting 2 warp, a rear P3, and hull. Ships move a few more times, HYD kills all 4 drones on the map with 6 P3 shots from the gatlings. We end at R7, HYD full #1 facing GBS down #5.
T2: HYD starts at 16, GBS starts at 16. Impulse 2, GBS HETs directly back at HYD. Impulse 3, HYD speeds up to 17. Impulse 6, we end up at R1 centerlined. HYD tractors the GBS with 1 point of power (GBS does not resist). GBS launches 4 medium drones, which inconveniently move the next impulse, and neither ship (HYD speed 9, GBS speed 8) does. GBS launches 2 shuttles which move the next impulse. HYD fires 2xP3 (leftover gat pulses that are available) and 3xP1 (1 per drone not hit by the P3s) at the drones. GBS fires OL disr (hits), 2 std disr (1 hits), 3xP1 at the HYD, 3xP3 and a P1 as a P3 at the shuttles. The shuttles explode (not suicides), the HYD takes 34 damage, losing the full #1 and 4 internals (all hull). HYD auto kills one drone, kills 2 other drones, and hits what was a type IV for 5 damage, so it lives. Next impulse (2/7), the type IV hits for 24 internals, hitting a lot of hull, a couple fired phasers, a fusion, a tractor, and some power. HYD fires at R1 with OL fusion (rolls a 6), 2 std fusion (rolls 3, 3), 2xP1 (rolls 1, 6), and the now available gatling (does 15) for 47 total damage to the GBS's 28 box #1. The GBS had declared fire back with an OL disr and a P1.
At this point, Ted has a critical client/server issue, and gets booted from the game, and can't get back in. The game is saved here to be continued in the near future.
After fire is resolved in impulse 2/7, the Hydran has only half a gatling left to shoot this turn, but does have 2 unlaunched, fresh stingers, and potentially 2 suicide shuttles. The GBS has a P1 (360), a P3 (RX), and also potentially 2 suicide shuttles. If the GBS return fire on 2/7 kills the second HYD tractor, things get real problematic for the HYD. If it does not, things may or may not look good for the HYD.
We'll see what happens when the game continues in the future, time to be determined!

Ted and I are going to continue our game at 1:00 pm ET (12:00 noon CT) on Saturday (i.e. tomorrow). It seems very likely that the game will end pretty quickly one way or another--there are numerous ways the GBS can win, and numerous ways the HYD can win, and it probably won't take real long for us to determine which one of us pulls it out.

T1-
Klingon in 1701 & Gorn in 2530.
Bill loaded 4 overloads and did a 15/16/26 for 19 moves. 4 hk+16 disr+19 moves = 39.
I loaded an enveloper in A and held B, 16 all turn, 2 suis, 1 ww, 5 on my 6. 4 HK+10 torps+16 moves +3 shuttles + 5 shield 6 = 38.
My plan turn 1 is to come up the middle and maybe turn off and speed up if Bill does not launch the scatterpack. Otherwise, I am going to turn direction B as soon as I see the SP and try to end up in the middle of the lower right quadrant of the map while not getting shot by overloads. If I make that turn F, I will launch the Enveloper very late in order to likely separate Bill from the scatterpack drones T2. I ended up where I thought I would and launched the enveloper imp 32 with bill something like 12 hexes away.
T2- Bill plotted exactly the same as T1. Still no weasels As soon as he again did the 15/16 thing early in the turn I was pretty sure it was the exact same plot. So, I was again pretty sure no weasels and nothing in tractor.
I started arming Plas A and dropped the weasel. I went 31/9, 24 rest for 26 moves. I put in 2 in tractor expecting to deal with the scatterpack this turn. All that adds up to 38. I expected Bill to run off when allocating and my plan was to anchor Bill t3.
Bill did run off just a lot slower than I expected. I was able to juke the scatterpack drones but did kill 4 of them anyway but did not need to use the tractors. Bill ran a while but ended up getting hit for 20 from the enveloper he didn’t shoot. I thought he maybe missed the move somehow and that was an accident. He ran – I followed and closed. Imp 22 he sped up to 26 just like turn 1 but I am only a few hexes behind him. He did launch 3 drones from the racks. I let the dogfight hit my 3 and shot the others down easily as they were only t1. Imp 27 I used one battery to speed up to 27. I knew I would be faster than Bill since he last made a speed change impulse 22. Impulse 31 Bill Het back at me and I moved last cause I could and put myself on his one. I anchored him with my allocated tractor and launched 2 suicides I did not expect to hit. I fired 1 unfired p1 at his #1 and he unloaded on me for 37 internals after reinforcement. He only got 1 phaser, 1 F torp, 3 shuttles, 7 power. No tractors. Impulse 32 I turned to centerline on my 1. My shuttles missed him cause of course they would. I launched 70 and fired the 1 P1 I had left. His front shield is now 18. He did kill one of the shuttles with P2s.
T3. I am not unhappy. I got popped a little, sure, but he had a 18 point shield facing 70 plus I had several phasers to fire into the hole. I dropped the trac cause I needed to get out of dodge.
I armed all the remaining torps, 4hk, 4 in phasers, put in 8 in trac cause somehow I was worried he would tractor ME, and did a 16/8 plot for 10 moves. All that equals 31. That left me with starting with 5.5 in the cap.
I expected Bill would reinforce the #1, a lot. Which he did. He put 24 on #1, 4HK, 2 in phasers, 3 tacs, and speed change later of 5/10 for 6 moves.
Imp 1 he takes 28 internals from the torps and 19 more from phasers. 2 disruptors, 12 power, only p1 and the p3’s, 3 shuttles, 2 drone racks, and every other padding thing on the ship. He fires 3 p1’s at my 4 for 15 I think as I wander off. He kills my other sui with p2’s. He launches drones that I leisurely kill. I still don’t think Bill is arming weasels because there was a lot of reason to think he would already be out of shuttles. I maneuver my ship to keep him in arc of Plasma A. We end the turn close, like range 6.
T4. He arms phasers and tries to run. I load the enveloper and charge up stuff to slowly follow. I launch the enveloper that hits him for 60. He loses all his p1’s since the only shield that was down was the #1. The last internals were rolled 7’s. P1, P1, P1. On 7’s!! He conceded then with 2 disruptors and 4 p2’sand 23 power left. Fun, tense game.

Turn 1 I went 21/31 with the change coming on imp 20. I slipped out a bit and he slipped towards me. As we closed I launched 4 drones in 2 groups of 2, keeping them about 4 hexes apart. Ron cast 5 hexes of Str 10 web between us. Because of my speed I was able to get around the web, although my drones ended up stuck in 2 different web hexes. On 1.30 we were 3 hexes apart with our #1 shields facing. Ron fired here and I held my fire. He fired 3 OL disr(he fired a standard disr earlier, finding 3 points of reinforcement,hitting with 1), both snares, and 8 p-1s. All told he did 43 damage to my #1, finding 8 reinforcement. I lost a p-3, 2 hull and 2 warp. The next impulse he HET, showing me his #3 shield. On impulse 32 I was on his #4 shield and fired 7 p-1s at him, doing 30 damage and getting 3 internals, getting a snare and 2 hull. He also used 3 p-s killing 2 of my drones.
Turn 2 I plotted 31/21 with the change coming on imp 12. My goal was to get another shot on his down #4 shield. Ron went speed 30. We maneuvered around the web, and after my speed change to 21 on imp 12 I fired 7 p-1s at range 6 at his down shield. I did 17 internals here, getting all of his hull, 2 p-3s, and L warp, a disr, apr, and battery. I then turned off and Ron went in the opposite direction. During the rest of the turn he used 3 p-3s (including a p-1 used as a p-3) to kill my remaining drones. On impulse 32 I launched 2 drones. I repaired my phaser 3 and put 2 points of cdr into repairing a warp as an awr.
Turn 3 I went 21/31 on imp 11 and reloaded my phasers.I put 4 cdr to finishing my warp as an awr. We spent the turn getting turned around and heading back at each other. On Imp 26 I launched 2 more drones, keeping them 3 hexes back for the earlier two.
Turn 4 I went 31 all turn, with 6 reinforcement on my #6 and 4 power to repair 2 boxes on my #1. As we closed he put out a 3 hex web of breakdown str. Because of my down #1 I couldn't maneuver as well as I would have liked, and he ended up getting a range 4 shot with 7 p-1s through the web on my #6. He did 26 damage, and I used my 5 batteries along with 6 reinforcement to keep the shield at a useful level. Later in the turn he killed my drones as I tried to maneuver for a turn 5 shot.
Turn 5 I went 24/31 on 16. Ron went 15/21 also on 16. On 16 Ron cast a 3 hex web, which I was able to get around and get a range 4 shot on his #4 with 5 p-1s. To help make up for Ron's earlier bad rolls I rolled 5,5,6,6,6 for a whopping total of 12 damage. This netted me 8 internals, getting 1 warp, an APR, an imp, and 2 battery.
Turn 6 I again went 24/31 on 16. I closed with Ron who was going speed 21. On impulse 2 he again put out a 3 hex web. I was able to get around the close edge of the web. On impulse 8 I changed speed to 31 early and launched 4 drones. Ron announced emergency deceleration.On imp 9 we got to range 2 on impulse 9, our #6 shields facing. I fired 6 p-1s and 7 p-3s doing 46 damage. Ron fired 2 OL disr, 4 p-1s and 3 p-3s rolling badly again and only getting 25 damage. After this Ron was down 12 power, 3 p-3s, 2 disr, and all his batteries. On impulse 10 he slipped towards me and I went straight. This left us at range 1 with our #5 shields facing. He was fully stopped now, and I applied a tractor beam to him, which he couldn't fight since he hadn't allocated any and his batteries were gone. He conceded at this point.
If it wasn't for his horrible rolls this would have been a much closer game.

1.3 bakija (HYD) vs Sir_Cat_Who_Eats_Photons (GBS bb) continued!
We pick up in the middle of direct fire on 2.7. We are tractored at R1, centerlined, #1 to #1, speeds 9 (HYD) and 8 (GBS) accounting for the tractor. HYD just did 47 damage to GBS #1. GBS fires back with OL, P1, hits with OL, rolls 6 on P1, does 14 more internals to HYD (who already had 28 in from DF and a type IV in the face), hitting a HB, another fusion, a couple more P1s, and my second tractor on the last internal hit. Ships are released from tractor and speed back up to 17 and 16. Imupulse 8, GBS goes forward, HYD slips, so we end up #3 to #3. GBS slows down to 9. HYD moves to R2, launches both fighters facing oblique to the GBS, and one of the fighters is immediately crippled by the GBSs last available phasers (P1 and P3) for the turn. GBS launches a couple manned shuttles. Ships move more, both turning in opposite directions. The GBS slows down to 4, the uncrippled fighter is encouraged, and HETs in, and manages to get to R1 off the GBS's down #5 shield with a timely speed change after the guns are cleared. The GBS launched a couple shuttles facing the fighter, but no shuttle speed moved on the correct impulse, so the fighter survives to get to R1, takes the shot, rolls average on fusions, a little low on the gat, does 26 internals, evening things up some. Next impulse, *both* suicide shuttles hit the fighter and destroy it. Ships wheel around a little more, and end the turn at about 6 hexes, HYD facing F, GBS facing B, my #3 facing GBS #5. The crippled stinger, meanwhile, stayed near the GBS, and on impulse 32, fired a P3 at one of the GBS shuttles, crippling it at R2. GBS fixes a rear P3 at the end of the turn.
T3: HYD has 35 total power, both gats, the 360 P1, and one HB (that was arming last turn), no tractor, 1 battery box. #1 is down, #6 is at 1 box. GBS is crippled, about 30 power, 4xP1, a rear P3, a couple disruptors, 3 drone racks, 1 tractor, no batteries, down #1 and down #5. HYD plots 17/9/15, OLs the HB, rearms phasers and a battery, puts some energy into shield repair; GBS is 9 all turn, arms a standard disruptor (probably 2), recharges phasers, puts some energy into shield repairs. HYD turns north, GBS also turns north. HYD slows down to 9 on impulse 8, GBS slips in, launches 3 medium drones. HYD eventually turns in to R4, #2 shield to GBS #6. HYD IDs all three drones (all type I), kills them all with a gat and the P1, and fires the OL HB at the GBS. OL HB hits, does 14 in through 2 shields, losing a P1, P3, disruptor. Ships fly past each other, and GBS does not fire when it has a chance in FA, but as they wheel around, the GBS does fire 3xP1 at HYD #4 for 15 damage. The GBS shuttles do a total of 5 to the HYD #3. Ships end at 7 hexes, HYD facing D, GBS behind it facing B. Two GBS shuttles are on the map, the crippled one at R2 and the uncrippled one at R5. At EOT, both ships repair a couple shield boxes, HYD gets two nose P1s fixed as P3s, GBS fixes two nose P3s.
At the current time:
-HYD has 35 power, HB (rearming), 2 cooled fusions (one each side), 360 P1, both gats, FA/L and FA/R P3. Still two shuttles on board. 1 battery. No tractor. Shields at 1-30-19-9-24-2.
-GBS has 22 power, disruptor, 3xP1 (FA/R, 2 360), 2FX P3s, 3 (?!?) drone racks and plenty of drones. GBS has no tractors, no batteries. 2 shuttles are on the map (one is crippled and likely about to explode on impulse 1).

Two turns done, picking it back up Sunday.
Turn one Kzinti comes out slow speed 17 and makes his way to the center of the map dropping out three Shuttles at speed zero. And fired long range disruptors , that bounces off the AUXs brick. He all so launch four drones late in the turn. The AUX corner dodge at speed 15 for the turn. And launched 2 drones at the Kzinti late in the turn and three counter drones.
Turn two. Kzinti has a hard time killing off my two drones , as it took three p3s to kill one of them. He fired 2 standard disrupters and some p1s early in the turn doing 12 to my #2. Once again hitting a small brick. Around imp 15 Kzinti launches 4 more drones at me. With a little jocking around I was able to launch 4 counter drones the imp before they hit. The Kzinti fired his other 2 disruptors as over load with some p1s doing 12 more to my #2. After the counter drones took out his drones I did a unplowed speed change to 22. This gave me a R4 shot at his #3. Which I unloaded a OL HB and disruptors and 4p1s doing 22 direct and 22 HB. At end of T2 the Kzinti has a down #3 and 8 or 9 internals one of them being a drone rack. The AuX has a #2 with about 10 box’s left on it. Lot of fight left in the Kzinti, turn three will be a recharge round for us both.

Just a couple clarity notes for my game (bakija HYD vs Cat GBS).
On 2.7, HYD fired 3 fusions (1 is OL), 2xP1, gat at GBS #1, does 47 damage, scoring 19 internals at that point, which resulted in the GBS being crippled when the Stinger shot it for 26 more internals.
The second, crippled Stinger was killed on 3.1 when it was shot by the GBS's newly repaired P3.

Spartan (RFH) vs. Andromedan (LDR)
Got to end of Turn 5.
Damage shields. LDR down 3 WWs. Playing the game of starting and stopping. The last two times was due to the Romulan launching an 60-point enveloper at the LDR. The Romulan is down to 2 Plasma-Fs being available and possibly a fast-load F in Turn 6.
After the LDR stop in Turn 2. He has not been able to get speed past speed 20.
Looking to get together hopefully this week. If not, it will need to wait until next week.
