This is mostly ships and a few rules from SILVER and doesn't look too bad.

Rulebook page 64 has additions to (S8.0) that have been incorporated into the current version of that rule and can be thus be dropped from here.

See previous note about ending up printing rules both places. You cannot assume that everyone buying J2update has SILVER.

Okay, where should it have gone?

J2 - (J17.0) - This rule is more of an administrative note from Module J2 covering the introduction of advanced shuttle types to the game system over 20 years ago. In light of that, the current wording referring to “This product” and the like is incorrect and awkward in the eMRB. Suggest rewriting along these lines, for use in both the eMRB and J2:

———
Starting in Y180, advanced versions of the standard administrative shuttle (R1.F17), GAS shuttle (R1.F18), HTS shuttle (R1.F19), minesweeping shuttle (R1.F20), MRS (R1.F21), and SWAC (R2.F19) became available. Romulan cloaked decoys (G27.0) were also improved. To track damage to an advanced shuttle when using an SSD that does not already have an expanded shuttle damage track (extra shuttle damage boxes being marked with an “A”), use a single slash to indicate one point of damage and (as necessary) a second slash (creating an “X”) indicates a second hit.

The following summary of the Master Fighter Chart shows these advanced units. All are available in Y180, have a dogfight rating of zero, and have two chaff packs. Only the MRS carries drones (or similar weapons).

[RETAIN MFC EXTRACT]
———

Suggest this paragraph be incorporated into the (Z31.4) Designer’s Notes for the module:

As is seen in the Empire sections and on the Master Fighter & Shuttle Chart, new faster versions of heavy fighters appeared about the time each empire developed interceptors and competed with interceptors and megafighters for the attrition unit mission. There are also many other new fighters.
