...but the fan story is that the new nacelles were the reason they needed the new struts!
Have you tried seeing how they look with the big side mounted in, like on the BC?

At the pixel level, it's still a bit of a kludge thanks to the way the original was produced (not a knock at the original, BTW. Dithering makes the images smoother and crisper. But it makes changing the warp drive color less clean)

Ideally the blue would be brighter in some way, but it gets the point across.
