I keep hearing about how the Andromedians were almost unbeatable with a good pilot. I was brainstorming with a friend of mine and she came up with the idea of an energy parasite.
The theory is this: The Andromedians focused a LOT of energy and work in developing the PA, something to absorb hostile energy. What if they overlooked energy leakage?
I.E. they spent so much time absorbing energy that they forgot to guard the stuff they had already.
I based this slightly on the Gorn Plasma Snare, which already nulls two energy points(as I recall).
This could also be used on the galactic(i.e. shielded) races, but it only workes on a downed shield. It also needs more restrictions, like a higher charge cost, or a specific launcher, or somesuch.
I realize this is a centimeter away from the auto-reject list, but I thought it would be worse to let a good idea go unreleased then a bad idea get panned.
Thank you for your time.

Andros with a good pilot are only unbeatable in tournaments. In fleets, they're balanced against the galactics.

Don't you DARE violate my andros!!!!
Just my non-partial opinion.

Jeff: Thanks for the clarification. I came to SFB from SFC, so I don't know all the subtlties.
Glenn: Thanks for your non-partial opinion :P
Now for a clarification that might move this another centimeter from the Auto-Reject list: This would not just attack warp energy. It would attack ANY kind of energy, generated or stored, from Impulse, APR, Battery, Capacitor, even weapon energy.

They would probably look on this as a bonus. Hmm, that thing just took 10 points of power out of my batteries? Guess I can dump my whole panel into it now!

Ahh, but what if it takes out 1/2 your weapons charge?

Another thought is maybe you could target what kind of power it sucks out? I mean Warp power and Phaser Capacitor charge are different forms of energy, right?
