Plasma Scattergun

Invented by the Romulans in y174, in an attempt to counter the increase in Federation drone armed vessels. Stolen and duplicated by the Orion’s in y175. Copied by the Gorns in y176. A Plasma Scattergun is basically a low powered Shotgun to produce D torpedoes. It operates mostly like a shotgun of other torpedoes but splitting the F torpedoes into D torpedoes. All of which must be on separate target and can only accept size class 7 as targets due to the limits of the firing control system of the launching ship.

R torpedo =10 D torpedoes.

S torpedo = 6 D’s

G torpedo = 4 D’s

A plasma F can only be fired as a scattergun on the final turn of arming before it is placed into stasis. Thus producing 2, D torpedoes.

If a scattergun is used it will disrupt the fire control system of the ship using it if more D torpedoes are created then the ship has plasma launchers. “For Example” A Sparrowhawk-A scatterguns its S torpedo to create 6 D’s that just mirved from a scatter pack to eliminate the drones. Its fire control is disrupted as in D6.68. because the SP-A has only 3 plasma Launchers. If the same Sparrowhawk-A was scatterguning an F torpedo (only in the final turn of arming). Its fire control would not be disrupted.

Reserve Power. A plasma Scattergun can be armed by using reserve power if such reserve power is available and must be fired immediately.

Charging.

Same charging rates as per plasma shotgun.

There is one assigned to me by SVC that is similar called the Plasma Gatling (named by SVC as well). It launches plasma-K. Your's is a bit different.
