After talking with a friend about the Dragoon/Ranger compared with the other cruisers, I had an idea about changing some of the firing arcs for fusions and hellbores on the light/medium/new heavy cruiser variants. This may have been suggested before, but I've not been able to track down any conversations on it, it's touched on lightly in the "Hydran BCs" thread, but it's actually the reverse of my suggestion.

The Ranger/Dragoon cruisers have heavy weapons with arcs LF/L and RF/R. The Horseman/Traveller light cruisers have heavy weapons that are FA. (as do their heavier gunned variants, medium and new heavy cruisers).

My suggestion would be to split the heavy weapons into LF/L and RF/R, so the Horseman would have one LF/L and one RF/R fusion beams. Ditto for the Traveller's hellbores.

The Baron light command cruiser could have it's hellbores split, one each LF/L and RF/R, with the fusion beams remaining FA, moving it inline with the heavier command cruisers (Admiral, Bishop, etc).

I know the idea is probably whacked, but it doesn't seem to be on the auto-reject list, so maybe it could be an SSJ or Captain's log feature (if it hasn't been done already!).
