To address everyone's concerns about the Photons innacuracy, the Disruptors lack of firing options, and the Drone systems lack of module options, implement this system, PSTAYW, otherwise known as PhaserSolutionToAllYourWhines.

Replace every 2 Disrs with a phIV.
Replace every 2 Photons with a phIV.
Replace every drone rack with a ph-2.


There. Now everyone is equal and everyone has the same options.

Don't like this solution? Suck it up then! Realize that the Photon and Disr is the basis for which all other heavy weapons look for as the milestone, that after these many years, they are just FINE as is (barring Xtech improvements, and even those have been curtailed), and above all, QYB! Geoff: I dont want to see much of an improvement in the Photon. Maybe give it fast repair as an upgrade. It looses range and OV capability. Just my $.02.

What arcs will the ph-2s replacing drone-racks have? And does that go for ADDs too? And what about Plasma ships? I think this proposal will make them grossly disadvantaged! This needs a heap of work, Geoff!

mjc: obviously, all the ships will be fitted out with positional stabilisers. That'll cut down on manouver and power imbalances between the different ship designs! Duh!
