Just as an update for those interested. Using WPS the Ventu material is up to 17 3 inch wide pages with 10pt type. With a word count of over 5600. Before SPP gets around to looking at the Soton Torpedo.

That does not include the material I've been writing for the Myrmidons currently. Or even the Cygnans and Lorkesh. (All of which are in seperate documents.)

The biggest drawback is I haven't had time to devote to the Shield galaxy Timeline other than some scattered notes.

Another Update:

I have 10 pages in the above format done for the Myrmidons, with another 1-3 to go on the complex rule. And that doesn't even cover the background material which is another 3-4 pages.

Giving me roughly 16 pages of SFB format material.

All of which are waiting on SPP to clear the Ventu heavy weapon. Once thats done I will begin sending in the Myrmidon material. IMO the background for them is particualrly interesting. But I've tried to make each somewhat interesting.

An update for those still interested.

I just sent SPP the final (crosses fingers) pre-playtest (Changes/Additions: ) to the Ventu Soton torpedo rule. Hopefully things will finally be getting on track.

(Mostly they got off track because I misinterpreted various emails from SPP. So its been my fault for all the delays.)

Well I had to revise one paragraph, but everything (rules wise) for the Ventu has been done.

So the Ventu Shielding Generator and the Soton Torpedo are ready to go with SPPs approval of the ships themselves.

The Lorkesh are next up, with Layered Shields, Phaser Cannons, Warp Gauss Rifles.

Just an update for those interested. Since I've gotten a few requests for the status of the "Shield Galaxy" project.

Here is where the Shield Galaxy stands at this time. With my to do list.

1. I have one rule to write. (That I forgot to do earlier.)

Do the backgrounds for the:
2. Hyperians
3. Xonos
4.Principality Alliance
(To show their background in the SG.)
5. Seltorian
6. Andromedan
7. Tholian
(Backgrounds don't tkae very long since I already have most of them in my head or on paper already.)

8. Build one PA ship

9. Finish Galactic Map

10. Polish the Timeline and other racial backgrounds.

There can be no Playtesting of this material until SPP gives the OK. I already have a couple of people looking at rules to help me fix any holes before SPP finds them.

SPP has stated that he doesn't have time to look at the material until late this year or early next year. So other than some minor fiddling later on in the "Shield Galaxy" project, my part is essentially 95% (or more) done at this stage.

It's a completely different galaxy. The Galactic Powers found an archive ship after destroying the Andromedan SB in the LMC. After translation the history of the SG became known to the Galactic Powers.

*Note: This is not a set of LMC races. Shield Galaxy is simply a working title since roughly half the races have some twist on the shield rules. Some like the Lorkesh more than others.

BTW: I just finished doing the "Short" backgrounds for the Andromedans Seltorians and Tholians. Since for the first release there will only need to be a short background saying how they arrived in the Shield Galaxy. Most of their background is contained in the timeline.

Relatively few new ships will be introduced for the 3 races. (Andro in particular.) But there will be some new ships based on different design philosophies pervalent in the SG.
