This isnt so much an official proposal, but a solicitation for opinions.

I plan to include Carnivons in a modern-era campaign and I'm looking to upgrade the Death Bolt.

Modern Era Death Bolts:
Effectively, 1.5 space drones w/ an 18 pt warhead and take 6 pts to kill. 4 of them load into a modified B-rack that has 4x 1.5 space tubes; each tube can take a DB or a 1-space + ½ space drone than must be fired in the order specified as one will stack on top of the other (and cannot take a 2-space drone). The DB effectively has 3x .5 payload spaces and can be constructed like any other drone. Speed upgrades as normal. Since they fire from a normal rack, they are under the usual drone (ie, not DB) launch restrictions. Reloads a s a drone rack.

Think of them as 'medium' drones, with the lead/follow options.

Why does it always have to be Death? Why can't we have something less final, maybe a Severe Bleeding Bolt, or possibly a Dutch Rub Bolt. But no, it's aaalways gotta be the Death.

Maybe have it changed to a Bolt of Slaying.

As far as the idea, it sounds like a good starting point. Though I am pretty much only an armchair captain nowadays. I haven't had the free time to play in about two years now.
