Home Page: <http://www.boardgamegeek.com>www.boardgamegeek.com
Within the site, each game or supplement has its own page with discussion threads for that product, pictures etc. To navigate to a specific product, you can either use the site's search, or type in the game's url, in the form <http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/[number]>www.boardgamegeek.com/game/[number]. For example, Federation Commander: Klingon Border is <http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/19854>www.boardgamegeek.com/game/19854

Here's the numbers for the FC line:
Klingon Border: 19854
Romulan Border: 21373
Klingon Attack: 21371
Romulan Attack: 21372
FC: Boosters 22093
Tholian Attack: 27146
Battleships Attack: 28160

Most of the SFB line seems to be covered as well.

Pushing the new electronic (PDF) ADB formatted stuff on a thread over on BGG.

It's not so much a product news posting as a thread to start some other discussion.

BTW - for users on BGG.

I had actually submitted a number of "SFB fan" microbadges. There were a few, already, so the total set is:

- Federation (not mine)
- Klingon (not mine)
- Gorn (tug??? not mine!)
- Kzinti (not mine)

...and I added:

- Tholian (the CW)
- Lyran (a BC)
- Hydran (Lord Marshall)
- Orion (CR)

It's hard as HECK to get those images recognizable in a 16 pixel by 16 pixel format!

Stunningly, only one person (me!) has bought the 'Orion' microbadge!

WOW! Xander, what a busy thread you created over there! Well done.

No kidding, think I may have brought a couple new people into the game, and maybe one or two BACK to it.

Weird!

Yeah, what the heck is wrong with some of those ASL guys on BGG? They're starting a flame war over nothing...

By Xander Fulton (Dderidex) on Sunday, December 26, 2010 - 02:49 am: Edit

*shrugs* - it's not that bad, they just know what they play, and like comparisons to make evaluation.

Actually, that kind of reaction is far better than msot - at least they are engaged with the topic! If you have their attention, and a discussion, you can keep them interested!
-----------------------
BTW - to Jean (SVC? et al?)...is there an official SFU ambassador to BGG?

In reviewing the last few years of contributions, I certainly see a lot of BGGers posting, but not many from this BBS.

I've certainly done quite a bit, from session reports to threads discussing the new counter art I did to review threads, etc. Oh, and let's not forget that some of the most popular content on BGG is images...quite a few dozen of the images I've submitted (and some very well received!) have been SFU game based - either from SFB or FedCom, etc.

Ummm...if we need one, I guess I've been doing roughly that for a few years? It's hard to tell, since BGG doesn't require users to post under their real name, a lot of contributions COULD be from board members...

Been meaning to post here, and looking at Hailing Frequencies reminded me to finally do it.

A couple months ago, BGG/Geekdo instituted a full blogging feature on the site. Users can create their own blogs on the site, and can also invite in other users as contributors to the blog, etc.

I've started a blog there dedicated to the Star Fleet Universe as whole. I'm the 'administrator' of it, and the most regular contributor (in fact, there's only one other person who's contributed so far...). At the moment, it's mostly and F&E blog, because that's where most of my thoughts have been lately.

Anyway, anyone from over here who wants to join in, contact me. You'll just need a login for BoardGameGeek/RPGGeek/VideoGameGeek.

I added FC Transports Attacked, SFB Andro Threat File, and F&E ISC War to the BGG database, so if you have an account there you can now add them to your collection and rate them. I also added a review of ISC War, similar to the ones I have done for the other F&E products. If anyone has pics of the ISC being used at Origins, this is a good place to add them.

Nick, thanks!

I have added Distant Armada to the BGG database and uploaded a couple of pictures from Origins.

http://rpggeek.com/boardgameexpansion/102029/distant-armada

Also... the Romulan fleet board quickly became the top F&E picture in the BGG database and probably cause more than one geek to suffer from mild seizures:

Also also... the rpg geek Prime Directive pages are in particular need of some love, so I put one of my better Origins pictures up there:

Jeff, thanks!

I added a couple pics from Origins of the ISC fleet charts and a snapshot of the map near the end to their ISC War page.

Bill, thanks!

Nick, I wanted to express my gratitude for your F&E review efforts. I found your postings on the Geek and read them all with great interest last year. They inspired me to go out and pick up all the expansions for the game. I just played my first face-to-face yesterday and am on cloud (starbase?) nine with how good it was. Your ISC WAR review made me feel like I was opening the package for the first itme myself - it made me a confirmed order for it this month. My hat is off to you, sir.

By Nick G. Blank (Nickgb) on Sunday, July 03, 2011 - 11:08 am: Edit

Glad you enjoy the game, hopefully you can find a chance to play with the Origins crowd one of these years, truly a great bunch of people.

By Greg Maynard (Gregarious) on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 - 01:12 am: Edit

I added an entry for A Call To Arms: Star Fleet and added the cover picture from Mongoose's site.
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/107917/a-call-to-arms-star-fleet

I also got it added to the "up and coming Science fiction games" geeklist.

By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 - 09:09 am: Edit

Greg, thanks!

By Xander Fulton (Dderidex) on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 - 01:21 pm: Edit

Wonder who beat me to that.

By Greg Maynard (Gregarious) on Monday, November 07, 2011 - 05:24 pm: Edit

SVC, I've been posting links on the Call to Arms entry on BGG whenever a new blog is posted at Mongoose or ADB and have posted links to the 2500 Federation painted miniatures. Since images often attract more attention could I have permission to copy some of the Fed mini images and psot them to BGG?

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, November 07, 2011 - 05:26 pm: Edit

I'd rather you just post links, but Jean might want to discuss that with me.

By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Tuesday, November 08, 2011 - 12:03 am: Edit

Greg, I've been posting links, too, over at Mongoose. That way I don't annoy the folks who'd rather not have a bunch of pictures loading. If you need links to the albums, let me know.

By Greg Maynard (Gregarious) on Tuesday, November 08, 2011 - 12:19 am: Edit

No worries I'll keep posting links.
