Step two:

I cannot find any mention of uploads of Mail Order Bonus, Starletter, or Subspace News, but I have a nagging suspicion that at least some of those were uploaded.

SFT, Volume 2, issues already on line: #34, #36-#38, #40-#43.

So we are missing #7, #12, #14, #19, #20, #24-#26, #31, #33, #35, #39.

I will ask people to send me scans.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 - 05:26 pm: Edit

Ok, we should have all of the SFT-V2s, but Leanna is concerned over the cost of having Eric scan something like 40 of them. She may want to charge for them.

I checked the backup disks and found Starletters #65-#91. I found a guy who can provide #57-#64 and #92. Other than the four random copies, I don't have #1-#56 or any practical way of recovering them, so if anybody does, let me know by email.

Ok, I have about 25 issues of Starletter ready for upload and will send them to Eric. He has a lot of stuff to do, so they probably won't be on line until next week.

I have scanned copies of Mail Order #3 and Mail Order Bonus #1: X-ships if you need them.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Tuesday, October 06, 2009 - 10:34 am: Edit

I have MOB #1 and #2, but could use #3 if you could send it.

Does anyone have a list of when the Captain's Log's were printed?

By Jack Anthony Jones (Designered) on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 - 06:45 pm: Edit

Ken,

I have all but #3-4. I can put together a list from the actual editions. Won't be exact dates in some cases, just years. Will that help?

For the website, the original Module H1 was product number 3033 and Module H2 was product number 3034.

I do have a number of Starletters and Star Fleet Times that are not on the website if there is interest in me sending some pretty good PDF scans. I have issues 10-17 scanned. Those are all the low number ones I can seem to find. I have a number of them to fill in most of the blanks for the ones already posted. I can fill in a number of blanks for the Star Fleet Times as well.

I also have all the AoG modules and can scan in PDF format. May take a while to do them, but I can get them done periodically and sent off if they are wanted.

I know SVC is interested in the Starletters and SFT's. E-mail him first to inquire which ones and how to deliver to him.

(SVC, if you haven't picked up on it is Steve Cole. He's just much more likely to see any posting started with SVC.)

By Glenn Hoepfner (Ikabar) on Monday, September 27, 2010 - 11:32 am: Edit

I sent SVC all my SFTimes a while back, #'s 1-41 I think.

I have been busy, and haven't been able to think about this one project (in the midst of dozens of others I haven't been able to think about either).

Here's the situation....

1. All we could get electronic copies of are posted.

2. We got some scans but the memory on them is HUGE and we were afraid to take up so much disk space with them. So the project stopped as nobody had a solution or time to study the issue.

3. We might, at least in theory, put them on e23 for a dollar each (if I can remember where I put them, and if I had time to find them).

4. Once that is done, we can see what's missing and if anybody has the missing ones.

But the problem now is time. The best I can do it put this on my "to do list" and see if I get a chance to work on it this week or next.

Thank you for the reply Steve, just saw the older posts and wondered if help was still needed. Most of my scans of the Starletters are a little over a MB. Then about that for each page scanned.

Ok, so since help is not needed for a while maybe someone can answer if AoG ever published Star Fleet Times 44-50? Thanks.

If you would like me to try Optical Character Recognition and save the pictures in the scans as jpegs in a Word document, that would save file space and make an electronic PDF smaller as well. That just takes some time. But what the heck.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, September 27, 2010 - 04:12 pm: Edit

Yes, they did publish through #50. I thought those were on the site. Hmmm. not there, so there is some reason that they aren't. (We did them here so they're on some disk somewhere, and there must be a reason why they're not posted, but I don't remember what it was.)

Thank you for the information about the Star Fleet Times. Have fun on your projects.

By Richard B. Eitzen (Rbeitzen) on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 - 01:52 am: Edit

I look forward to being able to read these. :-)

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 - 10:25 am: Edit

Richard: Are you the guy who used to hang around with Calhoon (Calhoun?) back in the day? Or just someone with a similar name? Specifically, are you this guy:

By Michael Calhoon (Mcalhoon2) on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 - 03:13 pm: Edit

Yes, that is him, and I am me, its Mike Calhoon, and we wrote the Hydran Liberation, and you consistently misspelled my name Calhoun for years :-)

Thanks for remembering is, gives a warm glow.

Mike

Yes, that's me.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 - 03:52 pm: Edit

We remember both of you!

Guys, if you have ever sent SVC a scan of a Star Fleet Times issue, please send him the name of the file so he can track it down on his computer. Please do NOT send him another copy of the file, just the name of it.

Thanks!

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Saturday, January 29, 2011 - 06:04 pm: Edit

I heard the was a few issues of a Prime Time newsletter that was around for a few issues, it would be awesome if those got scanned and posted someday also.

Secondly, is there a list somewhere of the cards that were in Star Fleet Missions?

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Sunday, January 30, 2011 - 04:06 pm: Edit

I don't know that we have a list, or even a copy of the SFM game.

Was there a subspace news #6. I have a note that there were 1 through 6 but I see only 1 to 5 shown.

By Ken Kazinski (Kjkazinski) on Saturday, September 01, 2018 - 07:53 pm: Edit

Have any more of the Star Fleet Times been located and uploaded?

By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Saturday, September 01, 2018 - 09:05 pm: Edit

I believe all of the Star Fleet Times issues are on W23. As far as I know the Prime Time Newsletters are missing, but all of that material is supposed to be in Module Alpha. There are a ton of missing issues of Starletter. There are some missing items and game parts from JagdPanther. There are some issues of Nexus magazine that aren't on W23 yet, but none are missing. I know Supplement #2 X-Ships is buried in SVCs back yard and he doesn't want it found. The Commander's SSD books are not on W23, they aren't missing but I'll guess interest is low.
