Last night at 1am we had a thunderstorm.
A few minutes ago rain and 50mph winds hit when I was carrying the scraps to the fox feeding station I built in the south 40. I only barely got back inside without a problem.

Folks, I am so sorry. Shipping is delayed this week. I fell and went to urgent care, which sent me to the ER. Turns out I had the start of a UTI, which caused the muscle weakness that caused the fall. My doctor wants me to rest and let the antibiotics and OTC painkillers work.

Again, I am behind. I had jury duty last week and an appointment with my medical oncologist yesterday.
That court case? It turned out to be a particularly icky case where the jury (with me as the foreperson) not only decided guilt, but the punishment. It involved a woman who had abused her child, and (in the penalty phase), it turns out she assaulted her husband. After seeing all the graphic pictures and hearing the testimony, we made our decision. I just wasn't together enough to focus on work afterward.

An icky case involving the wellbeing of a child? IMO, and I suspect the opinions of many more here on The Boards, the wellbeing of a child takes priority over a game.

Jeff, it was important to me to protect the child AND the husband. I have been in the husband's shoes, and it was important to me to keep him safe, as well as the child. We, the jury, did our best to do that.
