My error, the picture I was thinking of was in Captain's Log #4 in the fiction story "Where Wisdom Fails," see page #5. The text in the right hand column references in the 11th paragraph, at the end of the first sentence ". . . as the security officer gasped and rose, going for his pistol, only to vanish in a stabbing flash of light accompanied by a loud whine." Picture shows the security officer being disintegrated.

Awesome. There's your image for the text.
To make the reference even more obvious, you could change the text to:
"... and know disintegrations ...."

I've mentioned this idea before but there has been some discussion as to where all the energy of the disintegrated item goes. Physics suggests there would be a massive radiation burst from a disintegrated object.
My answer has always been that the SFU phaser when set to disintegrate is designed to "shift" that energy into sub-space (as part of the trans-stator technology). This would, however, generate a considerable sub-space signal which might be why standard "kill" is a better setting to use in combat. Still, there are times when the operator might be too close to target and could not take the energy feedback. Say, disintegrating a rock covering a whole you are trapped in. Other settings might explode the rock (source material shows this) so disintegrating and sending the result radiation into sub-space would get you out safe. But you would have to consider that either your friends or your enemies would be able to detect that action at considerable distance... if looking (either manually or automatically).
Again, just my take on it.

Have we used the cover to CL #15?

HERE BE DRAGONS
They're just a myth, I hope.
Here's one I've stolen; Gracie Allen suggested a similar advertising slogan for golf balls in "The Big Broadcast of [I think] 1937". Use at your own risk!

The best picture of Orion Light Raiders with a paint job I can find is the SL2500 mini photo, if there's a better one that can take the caption:
SO PRETTY
because we try not to attack anything that might be capable of damaging our ships.

A potential caption to go with the image of the Gorn ripping the panel off of... Something...

Jean, can we just delete all of this since (I assume) it's been done and posted.
