Peking Duck is the codename for the new edition of the capitalization guide. Jean wants to de-cap at least a third of the things I originally wanted capped, limiting that mostly to standard cases and names of phases such a Direct Fire Phase.

Jean says "Less capitalization is more to my liking."

I can't get this out of my head.

[mental image]

newspaper cartoon panel:

Left side - a hulking SVC dressed as a 1930's gangster-stryle pinstripe, holding a .38 special pointed down at his side. With a look of frustration on his face. (because he wants to "put a cap into" something)

Middle of Panel - Jean dressed as a nun and half the size of SVC, holding a book labeled "Peking Duck" in an outstretched hand at him, while the other arm stretched back wielding a frying pan (Griswold #8) in the other. (a glow can be seen all around her and the items she's holding.

Right side - words such as "emergency deceleration" and others that are meant for the "decapping process", a slight trembling can be seen in the words themselves.

[If I had the drawing skills, I might have posted a link. If someone else has time, send a pic to the interested parties :) ]

What I am seeing is SVC dressed as Hitler, with a pistol to Ernest Rohm's head, and Jean (dressed as Martin Borman) "checking to see if he's on the list for decapitation".

And Here I Was Going To Suggest We Capitalize Every Word So That There's No More Debate On The Subject.

One of the programs the US Army and probably other Services used to transmit reports around the DOD system capitalized every letter when converted for transmission ---

Slidarian Corporal; Gee thanks Garth, now I have to go and get the Griswold, clean off the grey matter and bring it back.

David Z,, why don't you email me with your ideas and let me meditate on them. :) That way I get something interesting and no one gets confused.

Slirdarian Corporal, thank you for cleaning the #8 Griswold. I'm afraid I got a little enthusiastic. :)
