Randy, I'd buy a zombie Klingons vs radioactive tribbles thing!
I look forward to playing TvK with my daughter. Not something I'd probably buy for myself, but a fun activity we can share and it will introduce her to a hobby that she will enjoy for a lifetime.

Money from KvT will most certainly help SFB and F&E... and PD too.

Not just kids at all, Craig. This a fun beer-and-pretzels lark that builds on a pop culture reference that every science fiction fan and gamer is familiar with. This has really broad appeal.

Hey... I'm just saying ;)
But i am looking forward to possibly playing the starfleet marines game. Looks pretty good (i see the PanzerBlitz influence there, mr cole )
will there be geomorphic boards?
And really, ZOMBIES????? Why not werewolves or vampires or even killer clowns?
Are they "old school" zombies that trudge slowly toward a living person to eat, or are they "modern" high speed running zombies that chase you at a dead sprint without tiring?

Trek has clearly shown that zombies are a distinct possability through various means from space.

The Zombie apolcalypse is the inevitable result of overcrowding (which causes global warming and pollution).
By Randy Blair (Randyblair) on Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 03:07 pm: Edit |
And all the rotting that those pesky zombies do, contributes to even more global warming and pollution. It's a no win scenario.
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 04:38 pm: Edit |
When the planet gets overloaded, some supervirus appears and reduces the population. What could be more efficient than zombies? Every human infected gets into the business of infecting others.
Eventually, the surviving lifers (maybe 5% of the population) figure out how to survive until the zombies all rot and go away in five years.
Net result is that the population is cut by 95% and yet still has the technology for a modern world. They also have learned that explosive uncontrolled population growth is not a good concept.

If you do a kickstarter in June for this, what do you imagine the production turnaround time will be?
I'd love to be running this at GenCon in August.

I don't see that happening.

Remember that TOS episode where the mind control critter lands on Spock's back when visiting Kirk's brother's homeworld?
Rabid Tribbles. or worse ... Does full/intense sunlight kill Zombies?
PCs into NPCs. =(insert my patented evil GM smile)=
Post moved from HUMOR by author.

Don't forget the TOS episode with the mind control flowers.

Ok fine....
Then as long as we're gonna prance down the triffid lined lane to silliness,
Why not morphing tribbles? Or let them eat klingons... Ooooo, they could mutate into TRIBBLONS by contact with the warp reactor and then consuming klingon flesh. After that, they could combine several tribbles into a larger ultratribble and do that enough times to create and entire ship's crew....
They could overrun the klingon empire in months!!!
LONG LIVE THE TRIBBLON EMPIRE!!!!!!
DEATH TO THE TRIBBERATION OF PLANETS!!!!
Maybe even the IST... interstellar tribulation...
Oh the wonderous possibilities that abound from those cute little balls of fur...

But in all seriousness...
This game is starting to appeal to me. Kind reminiscent of nuclear war... You know, the card game.
Could be a hoot to play, except nobody I know likes to play my games...
Oy, there's so little room for the "old school" wargamer in the modern digital age.

Tribbles vs D{WHANGGGG!!!!!! What did I tell you?--Jean}
By Shawn Hantke (Shantke) on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 - 02:25 pm: Edit |
How about Tribbles vs. Fralli and since Tribbles are so cute and immune to electric shock and the Fralli are so darn ugly they always lose the game and then go extinct? Does the salt mine have a booth?

Fralli versus Klingons: Charging Ahead
Fralli vs Klingons 2: The Shocking Story
Fralli vs Klingons 3: A Revolting Development
It a whole product line!

* Looks at Tony and Shawn *
The salt mine pretty much is the booth as it has a rotating cycle of "Roseanne Sings Every Song Ever Recorded from 1920 to the Present."
If you're really bad, they put you in the Salt Mine booth where you get to watch her pole dance while playing a kazoo.
By Tony L Thomas (Scoutdad) on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 - 04:00 pm: Edit |
Wait... I get to play the Kazoo while watching her pole dance...
or...
I get to watch her pole dance while SHE plays kazoo?
It's a critical distinction and one that should be explained in detail if I'm to make well-informed decisions regarding future transgressions.
By Tony L Thomas (Scoutdad) on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 - 04:06 pm: Edit |
i.e., I have bought nice kazoos for all the grand-kids and I ot play, so if I get to play the kazoo, then I might be distracted enough to miss the flabby parts and might be willing to mention Fralli vs. Klingons 4: Current Events.
But if I have to listen to her play the kazoo and dance, then I might hesitate to bring up
Fralli vs Klingons 6: Power Struggle!
By Jean Sexton (Jsexton) on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 - 04:45 pm: Edit |
You only get to watch and listen.

Is volume 13 titled "Fully Discharged!"?
(makes it into the Faraday Cage just in time).

Add a module for MA: Klingons vs. Fralli, the Ground attack.
