Every second year, we award a small number of Meritorious Service Medals to staffers who have been around for a long time. This is a "once in a lifetime attaboy" (nobody gets more than one) and involves giving them two actual medals in a single year. Most higher staffers have them (although some have so many higher medals that it seemed unnecessary to give them this fairly modest one).

This year's medals go to:

Tony L. Thomas.

Scott Moellmer.

Paul Franz.

It should be noted that this medal is also given for major project work and that this year Shawn Hantke has been awarded one for his work on e23.

Those who read the Supplemental File heard all about my screw up in scheduling seven products during a month when we normally don't release anything, creating a massive workload for Leanna (and much increasing the workload for everyone else).

In recognition of the fact that Leanna not only survived the experience but did so with cool resolve and competence, getting everything done despite every obstacle placed in her path, Leanna Margaret Cole has been awarded the MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL with the honor scroll emblazoned with the word SEVEN.

Dal Downing earned a commendation during 2012 which was accidentally omitted from previous listings. This reflects an overdue promotion to his own page on the Wall of Honor. The award will be posted there early next week.

I cannot fathom how we forgot to list Stewart Frazier's commendation for 2012, but this omission was caught by the audit and corrected.

Today I finished the awards for CL46. Every ribbon, medal, honor bar, and badge is now on the graphic file for that person.

There are still 12 individual pages in Joel's email that he cannot load until that hard disk is replaced (it's at the shop, backups are on Carbonite), 10 more individual pages in my file that I haven't sent to Joel, and of course, all of the multi-person pages (one of which has gone to Jean who wants to check them before they post).
