I will pay whatever. It's very easy to trust that any price SVC and Leanna set for a product is fair. There is a very long history of getting it right.

I showed Jean a few pages of the book last night and she had a few ideas.

I like Jean's big yellow box, listing who is in charge where.

Remember that I had the leader list in my version, but had only done two of the four published king lists. Her idea was a solution to my problem of keeping the king lists in the same spot. I like her solution.

Hmm, leaders for all empires!

I like that Jean's is on the first page, with the start of year, I should have specified position.

On the pages I have done (the book is 300 pages so far) the leaders are usually where Jean has them unless that spot was full the day I did the leaders and I didn't want to bother moving stuff. (I figured we'd clean the book up later.) At dinner I told Jean I wanted to put the leaders in that spot, but that sometimes the "timeline" on the left overflowed into the second column, and I didn't want to split that up. She suggested the box idea as a way of turning the leader block into a "picture" so that I didn't have to do anything special to flow the timeline text beyond it. I thought it was a clever way to handle a problem I had been wrestling with.

Improvements like that is why Jean gets paid the big bucks.

Is this the idea mentioned on January 23 on the FedComm board?
Federation Commander Forum Index -> General Discussion -> Scenario Chronology
If so, do you want to post it there?
Obvious followup question: if this isn't that idea, what is?
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Friday, March 31, 2017 - 03:03 pm: Edit |
This project preceded that idea by a year but yes, this is the answer to that need.
I don't post attachments over there (I cannot figure out how). You can post a link to it there, but don't copy and repost it.

Could the captain log scenarios also be included?

Yes, all historical scenarios will be included. The sample is not even close to complete for that one year.

I don't do the history book a year at a time but a product at a time. Just recently I added every date from CL52 to one part of the book or another.
If you look at the samples and think something is missing, it's probably just from a product I haven't done yet.
